Tama Sushi is moved from Blue Bird Sushi at Long Beach with the new name as Tama Sushi. We offers the specialty rolls, fresh sushi and sashimi, tasty ramen with 4 flavors non – vegan soup base. We have full vegan option for sushi and ramen also. Our food cooks with separated tempura flours and separated deep fryers. We clean our knife, cutting board and mat every time when we start making a new roll. We are small family restaurant. Our chef; Tama, is working in a famous japanese restaurant as a sushi chef for more than 19 years experience. He loves to see his customers happiness with his foods. Tasty and quality is the top priority of our restaurant.

Hands down my favorite spot for vegan sushi. Their noodles are also incredible so you might just have to try everything on the menu! I always recommend friends to visit.

Enjoyed this spot with my mom. The waitress was quick and polite. It’s a cute place. Food was delicious and we left stuffed. Loved the veggie gyoza and vegan eel roll and soy Thai tea. Can’t wait to come back.

SOOO Good. I wish I had room to try more. Vegan sushi is hard to come by- this was great vegan sushi! The coco herb using soup with added black garlic was amazing too.

Tama Sushi is a rather small establishment, but it’s gained popularity quickly, and I can understand why. The staff is kind and friendly, the sushi bar chefs are especially attentive and welcoming. We’ve eaten several dishes and enjoyed them all. What makes them unique is their vegetarian/vegan options, offering something for everyone. I highly recommend a stop at this sushi/ramen spot! Don’t be surprised if you have a moderate to long wait, especially in the evenings.

Nice little spot with some outdoor seating, which is always a plus! The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I ordered the Unagi Don, and while it was tasty, it was a tad too salty for my liking. Everything else looked great though. One heads up – they don’t have their alcohol license yet, so no sake or beer with your meal. Overall, a solid sushi option in Garden Grove!

Absolutely amazing family owned restaurant. The staff is fast, attentive, and very friendly. Ample outdoor and indoor seating and the place is spotless.
There is an extension dedicated vegan menu with so many options. From ramen, dessert, sushi rolls, anything you could want. They put so much thought and attention to detail in the vegan menu. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

I was so sad to hear that Blue Bird Sushi closed and super excited when they opened back up in HB with Tama Sushi. The flavors are all great and well balanced. My favorite has to be the Fresh Roll, I can eat two of them easy. The takeout service is also really fast and the same portion size as dining in, which is really appreciated.
Update: The service here is amazing, they refill your tea many times and are constantly checking if you need anything. The rolls are filling, creative, and fresh. The banana tempura dessert was so good! It was light, not overly sweet, and warm with creamy ice cream. I can’t wait to try the rest of their rolls.
