Byron Takeuchi (The B-Man) grew up working in the SGV’s long-time favorite, Spike’s Teriyaki Bowl! In 1998 he branched out on his own and opened B-Man’s Teriyaki and Burgers. He prides himself on his homemade teriyaki sauce, which is made in-house with real honey! This teriyaki sauce is served on our famous Teriyaki Bowls and ABC Burgers. In addition, we also serve Chicken Curry, Katsu Chicken, Hawaiian Musubis, and more! Order online or come see us in Pasadena.

The chicken curry is the definition of comfort food. Warm, creamy, and flavorful without being heavy, it’s the kind of dish you find yourself thinking about days later. Together, the two plates made for a really satisfying meal.
One thing I always look forward to is the Tsukemono cabbage. It’s crisp, tangy, and refreshing, and it adds the perfect contrast to the warm dishes. Between the huge portions and the consistently solid flavors, B-Man’s continues to be a great spot when I want something familiar, filling, and delicious.
It seems like ericka didn’t wanna be there.
Her not wanting to be there made me feel the same . It didn’t feel like a welcoming environment.
Just remember it cost nothing to be nice …
Food was great , was clean but Service was poor
Sauce was 66 cent and they really act like i wasn’t gonna buy it . If , I paid 40$ for a meal why wouldn’t I pay 66cents for sauce lol …
Honestly I think overrated.
Miss the spikes in san Gabriel
I wont be back
Still think BigE in Rosemead is better with free Sauce and great service
Update: I tried adding more cheese to it to at least hopefully make up for their lack of cheese(still peeved for being charged 2 bucks for that little bit of cheese) and honestly that didn’t even help. The chili just isn’t for me. I now see why they are known for their teriyaki.
The food was well worth the price. The curry fries were the wow factor. Crinkle cut fries smothered in Japanese yellow curry with pieces of braised chicken thigh mixed in. What? That is a comfort food dinner for two for ten bucks by itself!
About the burgers, on par with the freshness and presentation of In-N-Out but without the long wait in the drive through. Pro tip: Ask for extra teriyaki sauce on the burgers. Based on our experience today it seems that they drizzle a bit of sauce on the patty as they cook it. Kinda like the In-N-Out mustard grilled patty.
Full disclosure, we tried this place because of a Burger Show episode by First We Feast on YouTube. The burgers on the episode were doubles with teriyaki sauce dripping down the sides of the burger. I understand the need for food sexy pictures for promo. I encourage you my foodie friends to make it a reality.
