Unlike so many others in here, I literally had lunch here on the public tour.
It’s actually not hard to visit the place, just apply for a tour at the NNSS website, it may take a while to be selected after passing background check, but once you do, good to go. I waited for I think around 7 months.
Had a cheeseburger and fries and a side of “atomic” shrimp. It was typical cafeteria style food, but the cooks are great and will do everything they can to get you what you want, all hot, tasty and cooked to order.
Lots of interesting places on the tour. Especially if you’re really into the history of the topic and places like these.
