The Habit is one of my faves! The santa barbara char is still great value, given inflation today [almost $10, but it comes with 2 sandwiches with avacado and double patties, tomato and lettuce]. Charburgers are tasty, though I felt like the beef was not cooked well done. I also like their drink fountains, mainly their limade near the soda machine. You can also pick free jalapeno peppers and other condiments near the front counter; theres also some AI sauce and other condiments near the drink machine. Got the baja fish sandwich [limited time] and it was really tasty. Ahi tuna was okay
I used the app, and ordering $10 at least [the meal deals dont count sadly] and got a free kids meal, valued at 7.19 back
Easy parking in the plaza, theres also tons of parking spaces, right across the curb near where Luckys supermarket use to be, just 15 seconds extra to walk into The Habit

Santa Barbara has two patties with cheese and an avocado sauce, coming in at around 1200 calories! Patties are unfortunately more comparable to basic frozen ones from a grocery store. Don’t think I’ll indulge again.

I’m giving this Habit Burger 4 stars based on Food Prep/care, taste, and expectations. My first time having Habit Burger and I was not disappointed. I especially took note of how well my order-to-go was packaged and put together. Pictures are actually what my burger looked like. Amazing. My only negative feedback are the Parmesan fries. Nothing parmesan about them except a few pieces of unmelted cheese sprinkled on top. Besides that, great burger.

There’s a huge girl working the cashier who is unfriendly to customers. I ordered extra ranch dressing and paid for it, but when I got home to eat my meal, I didn’t find any ranch dressing, even though it’s supposed to come with the order without paying extra. Unbelievable! I went there and paid $35 without getting what I ordered. ranch.

The only reason I went was to help out the fundraising event from MEF. However I’m disappointed that it required so many loops to jump through such as you must order from the clerk and that you must show the flyer. Anyways I won’t deduct points because of that.
The place is not small but it doesn’t have many tables so if you have a big party or at inopportune time then you won’t find suitable tables there. They also ran out of water from the fountain while we were there.
The burgers are dry and tasteless so no idea why it became as big as they are as a chain. The impossible patty has always been dry which is accentuated by so much lettuce. The Charred Double is no better. Honestly I’d highly recommend you go get In-n-out instead. The fries are so-so as well. The only high light is the lemonade and limeade so there is that. Overall, it’s a failure in my books.

It was busy since they had a special promotion . I must admit the chicken sandwich is very tasty. I would skip the cheese, mayo, and bacon. Too salty.

The Santa Barbara is supposed to have avocado. It didn’t. I ordered a lettuce WRAP. It was sat on a pile of ice cold lettuce with 1 piece slapped on top. The service was slow and rude. When a customer stands at the counter they shouldn’t be ignored. Let alone for more than 5 minutes.

Update 7/7/23: had the new spicy chicken sandwich. Spicy chicken patty, slaw, pickle, seasame on the buns. Patty was juicy, good crunch, the ingredients worked well together. The bun had a little trouble staying together but overall a great sandwich.
Had a Crispy Chicken sandwich. Overall the sandwich was excellent! The chicken patty was super crunchy. Juicy, saucy. Had Lettuce, but no tomato…. not sure why because it’s really good with tomato.

Cooked fresh and absolutely delicious. Fries and onion rings were hot and fresh and great texture. Habit char burger was on point as always. Restraunt was clean, and bathrooms were opened by a code. The employees were friendly and nice. Since the local codes make them use paper drink straws, they gave me multiple since they turn to mush after 10 minutes. Saving mother earth one Sprite at a time.
