Wow what a feel at home place. 2 pool tables in the back. That I have to compliment on, The felt looking so clean and new. Lunch time crowd, very chill my kind of place, food was home cooking like I grew up eating even, could taste the love that went into making it. I can now see why they have won so many awards of being the best soul food around. Will definitely be back, my co worker got the turkey and dressing looked really good he loved it. I got meatloaf, mashed potatoes topped with gravy, and mac and cheese.

Very unprofessional service. I ordered my food 45 minutes before anyone came in restaurant. They still served all the white people first. Food is brought from home and served in restaurant. Restaurant doesn’t have a place to cook food. Some times food be sour and rice is always terrible

My wife and I were passing through town yesterday and found this jewel. The ladies were very nice and helpful. My wife had the oxtails and I had fried chicken. Delicious!! All the sides were delicious as well. I highly recommend this place and the any time we are in the area we will stop by.

Passing through Gaffney on a Sunday, saw good reviews and not too terribly far off I-85. The place looked closed but we went in anyway. Not a ton of tables or anything showy, but the food is great and both employees we interacted with were friendly. We had a vegetable plate (mac and cheese, green beans, pintos and fried green tomatoes) and turkey and dressing with mac, mashed potatoes and green beans. Pintos were the star of my plate. Dressing could’ve been warmed a little more, but made up for it in flavor. Overall, reminds me of southern food from my childhood, and that’s what we were hoping for.
