Tried this place out for the first time as we were passing through town. I had high hopes as the reviews are so high. I got a large specialty with hot fudge and Oreo and my boyfriend got just a medium chocolate custard. Before we got our order the gal taking the order mentioned that even though I ordered a large size and he ordered a medium, they would be in the same size container. As mine was specialty and his was regular. They were very fast in making our order. There was also no one else there. The quality wasn’t great. My boyfriend mentioned getting great value from the store would have been as good. I also agree. We will not be returning. I ate the cherry and whipped cream off the stop of mine and then started to notice how little they really put into the cup. Not worth it for what you get and the quality.

Awesome! Finally got to visit the coffee shop part and it was as delicious and as reasonably priced as the custard shop. And there are no words to describe how good the homemade blueberry muffin was. I highly recommend Bob’s Custard and will definitely return!!!

We went in there about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon and it was closed they weren’t serving ice cream. We drove all the way over there after being up in Owensville and had to return back to Newburgh for nothing

Tried Bob’s for the first time today. Ordered a Jim Dandy (hot fudge & oreo) concrete. Unfortunately we were not impressed. What we ordered did not remind us of custard, but almost exactly like a McDonald’s McFlurry!! It was a bizarrely familiar taste! Only had the vanilla custard, but it had an odd taste like whipped cream mixed in? Again – just reminded me of a McFlurry haha Additionally, for the price we paid, just didn’t seem very “topping friendly”. I know it had real oreos in it, but the hot fudge was almost non-existent? I will say they heaped that ice cream over the top of the cup edge though! As one of the other very similar reviews, a store bought tub of Blue Bell would have been better taste and value-wise! If you like McFlurries though – you will absolutely love their ice cream!! We were just in the mood for – and expecting custard.

Bob’s is awesome! We are pleased every time we come! They have so many options and anyone can find something that pleases them. They may have a little bit higher pricing, but it sure is worth it! They fill the cups past the top and pile on the toppings! My relatives said it was the best custard they have ever had(and it also beats out all ice creams). Definitely a must visit if passing through the Belle area!

This is the best custard! I got vanilla scoop with fresh strawberry and bananas it was amazing. My mother got vanilla with hot fudge and brownies. The brownies were so soft and you could tell freshly baked. The hot fudge was everything you could ask for. I don’t think I have ever had better custard anywhere and I’m a die hard Andy’s fan; but this local sweet stop has them beat. Friendly staff, it has outdoor seating or you can take it home and enjoy it. I would recommend this place to anyone.
