I try most “drive in” burger joints as I travel and this one is definitely not worth stopping again. I am fully aware of prices going way up over the recent years but if you spend $12 for a cheese burger (fries and sauces sold separately) you would be right to expect a decent burger. But what you get is a normal frozen and smashed paper thin patty on an untoasted cheap tasting bun with uninspired veggies served at room temp. I am not exaggerating when I say the quarter pounder from McDonalds has more “heft” and flavor the D.K.’s Drive In burger. The fries (extra $5) are just frozen battered fries that you can find at Walmart. The tartar sauce was the only decent thing served but of course that costs extra. Coincidentally, a co worker who took the same route to the job as I did also stopped and had the same feelings as me about the food and prices. So you’ll see his review on here also.

My husband and I just had the pleasure of eating here at the D.K. drive in tonight.
Their establishment is so well kept.It was so clean inside and out.. their customer service was great. Their prices are super reasonable and the amount of food you get with your order is well worth what they’re charging. My husband had the pumpkin spice shake. And I got one scoop of their salted caramel and one scoop of their bubblegum, and it’s the blue kind of bubblegum ice cream with the little chunks of bubblegum in it so good.
And we got a basket of their fries, which were super crispy. And so good, their ranch is homemade and is so good.

Well….super bummed. Im from Spokane, working here for the next month and a half. Was told “you have to try DKs”. So I did. The hot dog was not good, 1 bite and it went in the trash where is belongs. The French Dip was a hot dog bun, 3 slices of lunch meat and no cheese. The Auju sauce was the best part. Also got fries, cool temp at best and no sauces in the bag. Now the service….literally watched my crew and I food sit under the lamp as the cook repeatedly called order up, but she was busy somewhere else. Staffed up with 2 cooks and 2 counter gals, but we spent about $100 bucks, food went in the trash, and exploring other options for the rest of out time here in Ephrata. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT DK’s!

The Cherry Shake was the best part. They have a fresh raspberry Shake that was unfortunately sold out. I’ll have to come back to try that. The fries where good well the burger was okay. Overall with the great customer service it was a nice experience.

Advertised hours say open till 9 PM. Came to this location one day at 8:02 pm. All the lights were on in the business and it appeared to be open. Stopped at the drive-through for 2 to 3 minutes with no answer, called on the line, no answer, and then proceeded to the window and a gentleman open the window. It was the owner and I told him that advertisement on Google stated that this location was open till 9 PM.Fast-forward two weeks later and forgotten about the time difference and assumed it would’ve been changed, same issue. This location closes at 8 PM, but Google hours still state nine.

Two stars might be a bit harsh.
The good: Workers are typically friendly and their ice cream is above average.
The bad: Prices are really getting out of hand. Food is getting smaller while prices just go up. I get it, inflation sucks. But I shouldn’t have to pay over $10 for a bacon cheeseburger deluxe that didn’t come with the SINGLE pickle. It came with about 10 shreds of lettuce and ONE tomato slice; two slices of bacon, a burger patty, a slice of American cheese and two buns. How is that $10? Their Philly Cheese steak sandwich is also paltry.. as big as an Apple TV remote control. Their ice cream is also very expensive for what you are getting.
I hate having to give poor reviews to an establishment that has been around but the consensus is when it switched owners prices have gone up and quality has gone down. I think most people who have been going here upwards of ten years will agree with me. I remember when you could get a burger for around $6-7. $10 is highway robbery for what you are getting.
Sad to say I probably will never eat here again unless they change.
Barb and Ed’s is where I will be getting my burgers from now on.

Stopped for lunch and it was busy. The food was good and hot, the portions adequate and the service was okay. The price is reasonable for what we received. They were busy so it is understandable that the crew might have been a little overwhelmed. But it was overall worth the stop.

$70 tab with 5 burger/sandwich items. Every single sandwich was wrong, despite the order being correctly read back at the time.
Completely incomprehensible. Seemed like nobody cared because we were drive through and wouldn’t find out for a bit.

Made to order eats between dry falls and Spokane. Slower than fast food but all our food was hot. Food is average and some items were missing so I had to return to fetch them. Fries are not salted, so ask for a packet if getting take out.

Passing through town and we could tell by the parking lot this place was gonna be bussin’. Awesome mushroom burger and loved the polar swirls. Would have got a pic of the burgers but i inhaled it before I thought of it. This place is going to be a road trip staple for us when in the area.
