Amazing quality restaurant in rural South Dakota. The walleye chowder is a great opener along with the Alabama white sauce on the chicken wings. The steak sandwich is fantastic with the balsamic onions and smoked Gouda cheese.

I ran this place the previous couple of seasons. When I drove there they closed early despite the ad. Food was okay but they seemed to make most of the old customers upset.
Owner replied that they never closed early. When they did and I called them out on it. They had advertised on Facebook.
Update I went and tried the boat house food again.
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Increased my review a couple stars.

We made reservations for group of nine and were immediately seated outside with a beautiful view of the marina and lake. The food was perfect and probably the best tater tots I’ve ever eaten in my life. The waitresses were so friendly .They spoiled my grandkids with dishes of cherries to put in their drinks which made for smiling faces. The adults had a variety of mixed drinks and the bartender did a great job. The price was not out of line for the quality of food and the attention that we were given. I highly recommend this establishment.
