Came in on a whim, passing thru Abilene, prettiest town I’ve ever seen. Nightly special tonight was sirloin and roasted red potatoes, which were amazing. Actually sold out of the special because they served all the potatoes. Peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert. Rosie is a true veteran in customer service. Dishing out good food and great conversation.

Jesse(The chef) is beyond amazing! Nothing that he prepares is anything less than amazing. When my grandmother visits she throws a fit if she doesn’t get Chicken & Waffles.

For a hotel restaurant, the atmosphere was very, very good airy and roomie. The service was excellent as was the food which were of Texas size portions, though the menu was somewhat limited. Price wise compared to the rest of the trip they were a bargain.

If you are staying in Abaline do not go to this restaurant. It took over an hour and we did not receive our appetizer. The staff didn’t nothing to warn us or apologize for the order. When we canceled our order, they told us they were behind. But ther was only three people on the restaurant. The hotel is also dirty as well.
