We came in before going out for Halloween, and this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had here. When we sat down, they brought out a large guacamole we didn’t order — we assumed it was complimentary since they’ve done little extras before as a gesture of hospitality. Turns out, we were charged for it.
Our food came out uneven — a couple plates looked decent, but others looked like slop. One burrito was literally swimming in sauce. The prices are high to begin with, and the food itself was pretty bland.
Later, the owner/manager, Martin, came over and offered us shots. He kept hovering until someone finally said yes, and he even said, “the next one’s on me.” We later found out we were charged for the 2nd round — and the shots were ridiculously expensive.
Our friend paid the bill, and when we saw it later, we were shocked — $259 for six people, one round of margaritas, and the unwanted guac. When we went back to question the bill, they argued with us over the guac charge, claiming someone ordered it (which they didn’t — that person doesn’t even like guac). They refunded us only $5 for some mystery item instead of fixing the full issue.
Between the misleading charges, pushy service, and overpriced, average food, this place has gone downhill. I’ve even seen videos on Snapchat of Martin letting customers take pulls straight from liquor bottles — super unsanitary.
Overall, the food is bland, the service is shady, and the prices are way out of line. Definitely not worth it.

First time there. Not sure how it’s still in business. Chips tasted like used stale oil. Just looking around before our food was served there’s just filth, grease, and grime on the floor, baseboards, just dirty. Wanted to run but then the food came. Thought we’d be optimistic, we tried, food was awful. Will not be back!

It wasn’t busy when we went. It was 6 of us all after work. And it took a while to get our food but the cook did come out and apologized to us and gave us some free dessert to make up for it. If in the area I would probably go back. I would give them another chance and see if it is any different

Was very disappointed with the service and the atmosphere. The serve was rude and didn’t listen. The cook came to us to review our order and we made some changes. The server came to us angry and they were yelling at each other about it through the whole restaurant. Very uncomfortable. At the end when it was time to pay she told me the cook was stupid. The cook was decent to us the server was rude and not professional at all.

We ate there again tonight after first finding it 3 days ago. Both were excellent experiences. Both times the food was delicious, the service attentive (the first time was on a Tuesday night and not very busy while tonight – Friday – it was packed), and the atmosphere casual and welcoming. So excited to have good Mexican dining close to home in rural WI. We already know it’s our new favorite place to eat. You have to try their homemade chunky guacamole. Even my husband who has never liked guacamole is raving about it. And you can get containers of it to go! Edited to say: Yet another great dinner out here!!! They do not disappoint!!!
The alcohol drinks are a bit pricey, but we’re not going for the drinks. Edited to say: they have drink specials and are starting Margarita specials on Wednesdays according their Facebook page.
Covid considerations: the staff wears masks. Obvious precautions are taken, such as eating utensils being given after being seated and they are in bags. We are fully vaccinated now so feel quite comfortable eating there. 6 foot distancing is not an option when the restaurant is full. I don’t have any information about the quality of their ventilation system.

i ordered street style tacos chicken , chorizo and carnitas wirh a side of rice and beans . Also wanted to try the tortilla soup and everything is really good . The chips and salsa are fresh and really good also

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant! We love that it’s so close to where we live. It is hard to find such delicious Mexican food without driving to eau Claire or Wausau! I should have taken a before picture but the food is just so amazing that unfortunately I didn’t get a chance so y’all get an after picture of the beef fajitas I destroyed. I love that the staff are just so awesome, kind, and always on top of their tables. Also last time we were there we got complimentary little fried chips with chocolate sauce on them and it was the perfect little end to the meal(this time we got the fried ice cream) I hope next time to try the tres leches for desert but it was out this time. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

The birria tacos are absolutely amazing! Street tacos are also a favorite. They changed the cheese dip and now it’s legit just melted cheese with no seasoning/ taste. Go back to the old school cheese!
