we went last night on Valentine’s night a table of four Sat in the back in the corner right next to the musicians. we were having a great night or did appetizers drinks or dinners we’ve made a recommendation to the musicians to play guantanamera and they did and the place was going crazy we were having a good time we even took care of the musicians while they were singing. so is the night goes on we were finishing up our meals The bill comes we give them a bill paying cash give them the waitress a nice tip and we haven’t finished our drinks yet we’re probably about 5 minutes away from leaving and they come up to the table and they say can you hurry up and finish we need the table. let me say that again, can you hurry up and finish we need the table. we just spent almost $400 in cash and they rushed us out. they absolutely ruined and otherwise great night out. if this place was managed properly the waitress would have came over like any other waitress would in any other restaurant and say, is there anything else I can get you? but no she comes over and says can you guys leave we need the table. I have been coming to this restaurant for many many years I live right around the corner. sadly to say I will never come back I will never recommend this restaurant I will tell everybody to go to south of the border which is just a couple of blocks away. which incidentally has the best flan in the world. sadly to say I will not be returning to your restaurant

Margarita’s Café in Wantagh is SOO GOOD! I had the chicken enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant has such great energy and an amazing ambiance—colorful, lively, and fun without being too loud. The staff was friendly and attentive, and you can tell everyone there enjoys what they do. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. Whether you’re going for dinner with friends or just craving authentic Mexican food, this spot is a must-try. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes (and maybe a margarita or two)!

This location is by far the best one out of all the other locations. Food is always fresh, drinks are always made with love, service is always attentive and that alone is greatly appreciated. I went on a random Thursday and my son and I had a blast! There was live entertainment that we both really enjoyed.

Nice place with a very traditional Mexican atmosphere and music . Delicious food, very welcoming staff. Portions are literally huge. A very big choice on the menu. A lot of Halloween decorations and colors in the place. Good prices ✅. And it was nice to get chips with tomato sauce for starting. The only one thing doesn’t match to this place is a ladies room, which could be nicer. Especially this year when people don’t want to touch anything another time. Thanks for staying in business.

OMG…..I just passed by this place a week prior and it looked nice and figured I’d give it a try. The Food was seriously so good. I started with a special Margarita and the loaded Nachos. Then we had the beef empanadas, which were good and very crunchy. Overall the food was delicious and the ambiance was so pretty and the place smelled brand new. The staff was very attentive and fast and friendly. Seems like a hidden Gem to me. I also have friends in the area that spoke very highly of this place as well. Definitely check this place out. And also….the churros were delicious!!!

My wife and I went here for the first time and have to say we weren’t disappointed the food was great and came out hot from the appetizers to our main course. We sat in the bar area at one of the tables the bartender who also served us was awesome my wife loved the margaritas she made. The atmosphere was cool and decorated for Halloween we will definitely be going back.

I usually don’t post but I was upset about my experience at Margaritas Cafe in Wantagh today. I come here often because I LOVE the food, but today I went for their taco deal advertised online for taco day and was incredibly disappointed by how the situation was handled.
I been to Margarita’s Café many times and usually love it, but my experience at the Wantagh location on Taco Day was really disappointing. Online (see attached screenshot), they advertised Unlimited Tacos for $21.95 AND House Margaritas for $2.95, so that’s why we came. When we got there, we ordered the drinks but didn’t get the special menu. When we asked about the unlimited taco deal, the waitress told us we couldn’t combine the offers — something that was never mentioned online. (Quote: “Unlimited tacos for $21.95 AND house margaritas for $2.95,” which is misleading — it implies both deals are included with no restrictions or location limits.) I politely explained this was the reason we came, and she said she could instead charge us full price for the margaritas and give us the taco deal. We said we’d think about it, but she never came back. Also- had I been given the menu originally and saw that there was a restriction I may have changed my order. We waited over an hour before another person finally came by, and at that point, we just asked for the check because we had completely lost interest.
To top it off,I waited by the desk in the front to inquire about the taco menu to take a picture to send to a friend who wanted to come. A waiter ran over and rudely asked what I was doing. I said I just wanted to look at the special menu again, and he said they didn’t have one — until I mentioned the waitress had shown it to us, and then suddenly he pulled it out. It all felt really unprofessional and misleading.
Between the false advertising, poor communication, and inattentive service, this visit left a bad impression. It’s a shame because I’ve always enjoyed Margarita’s Café, but after this experience, I won’t be going back
