Tran An gives very much mom pop vibes, it’s welcoming and cozy. Aesthetically pleasing and family oriented vibes. Everything from the photo album that gives you a visual of the entire menu down to family photos of the owner Jon and his family. Natalia was our server today and she was so sweet and joyful. The food was delicious and gives you the feeling like you’re right back home in mom’s kitchen. Thank you Tran An, Thank you Jon, Thank you Natalia, we will definitely be back!

First time here, won’t be the last! Food was amazing, service, just as great. The mom & pop feeling is very comforting. Staff were all friendly, Natalia was very attentive & helpful with food selections. It was by far an overall great, great experience. I went to Tran An a few Fridays ago after hearing so many great things about the chef and the food. We drove quite a distance to get there, so we were really looking forward to a good meal.
The restaurant itself has a cute, artsy interior — definitely Instagram-worthy in spots (even the bathroom setup!), though a few details could use some freshening up, like the soiled upholstery. It wasn’t busy when we arrived, which I actually appreciated since it made the atmosphere calm and cozy.
The food was a mix of highs and lows. My dish was flavorful and enjoyable — classic Vietnamese comfort with good presentation — and my friend really liked the honey lime chicken appetizer, which had great balance and flavor. Unfortunately, the rest of her meal wasn’t very good, and our server actually forgot to bring out the appetizers we ordered. She did apologize and later came back with a small gift card for a free appetizer next time, which was kind, but the overall service still felt a little off — especially considering how few tables were occupied.
We also noticed that the chef everyone talks about wasn’t there that night, and it did feel like something was missing because of that. The prices were on the higher side, which we didn’t mind if everything had clicked — but for the experience we had, it didn’t quite meet expectations.
Overall: Tran An has potential and personality, and I’d give it another chance if we were closer by or if I knew the chef was in. The food was good, but the service and consistency need some attention for it to really live up to the hype.

Extremely disappointed – Not authentic Vietnamese food at all.
I was really looking forward to a good Vietnamese meal, but this place was a huge letdown. The food is a poor imitation of Vietnamese cuisine and tastes nothing like the real thing. To be honest, it was terrible. Save your money and go somewhere else if you want actual Vietnamese flavors.
1 star is being generous.

This restaurant is exceptionally well-maintained, and you can truly feel the owner’s presence, ensuring everything is running smoothly. The food is a perfect blend of authentic flavors with a modern, vibrant presentation and design. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and absolutely delicious. The cucumber pickles, in particular, were out of this world! I had a fantastic dinner and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Great local spot for Vietnamese food enthusiasts (my to-go place). The design is very cozy, they have a photo album with pictures of every dish on the menu. Quite limited seating but never had to wait. We tried papaya salad and chicken curry, which was very different (sort of lemongrass, lime, curry). The food was so good, came back to try more dishes. Hanoi pork bbq and fried rice broth were absolutely delicious! Chicken slaw salad also very good.

I wanted to like this place so much but it was subpar at best. Headed there super hungry after a long day and ordered a salad (which was average) and Banh Mi which was just OK because the taste was a bit off, a bit too salty, ingredients did not taste fresh (also, no sliced chili or jalapeño in the sandwich?!) and the size was RIDICULOUSLY SMALL, out of a kid’s menu. Overpriced by all standards and by comparison, and no printed receipt. Also concerning: the dusty napkin holder, the few cobwebs I saw, the soiled upholstery seats and the greasy A/C vent on top of the entrance. I wish the main aesthetic allure had extended to a quality food experience, that would have made me return. I was so hungry I just ate and rushed out. How do you tell someone how to properly cook food from their own culture? Lol I was not going to do that. Even with the nice owner and welcoming service, it’s a NO for me.

This was the biggest joke of all. Chicken Bun & Meat Pho with 2 teas were $65 + tip for lunch.
The service was slow, the portions were small, the prices exorbitant.
It is the biggest rip off in Miami.
Dear owner, I emailed you twice once before the review and once after. A week later I have not received a response.
