Miga delivers a fantastic dining experience for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. We arrived right as they opened for a work lunch on Thursday and were immediately seated. The service was impressively quick—appetizers came out fast and fresh, and the chef clearly puts detail into every dish. The sushi and sashimi quality was superb. Beyond the delicious meal, the spot is reasonably priced and BYOB (with a convenient liquor store three doors down). Don’t skip the dessert; the fried Oreos are lightly battered and fried to perfection and paired with strawberry ice cream—a must-try

Very good all you can eat sushi. The specialty rolls were very good and the sashimi pieces were good sized and fresh. I’d suggest multiple smaller sized orders or you’ll get a huge boat of food with no room on your table. The boat was fun but took up half the table plus other plates of food. Make a reservation, good was good.

Sushi is my go to food. Wherever I am, I look for the closest sushi restaurant and I have to take the time to get five stars to this restaurant on all accounts. Parking was a little difficult but understandably when I tasted the food and saw the preparation the fish was fresh. The rolls were delicious wonderful combinations. It was little rice and lots of extras. My favorite was the Denville role and so was the Desert. We all had the Oreo tempura with scoops of ice cream that was unlimited. I’ve never been to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant that included Desert. I used to go to this place when it was called Zen, but the previous owners did not do as good a job as these current ones. This will be my go to place from now on because when I find a good sushi restaurant I return and return thank you for the good service and the excellent food.

me and my sister walk in to see if we can be seated and when we walked in, there was a guy there handling delivery orders who smiled at us and was so sweet! but the girl host who was at the ipad checking ppl in didn’t even greet us. so i went up and asked for a table for 2 and she said “u have a reservation” i said no we’re a walk in. then she said “well there’s 7 people ahead of you and it’s going to be more than a hour” and the sweet guy next to her said “well you can sit at the bar in like 10 mins!” and the girl host yelled NO and said that’s not possible and he looked confused. so i said okay let me think about it. so me and my sister sat in my car outside and decided okay lets wait. so i called and said hi we were just in there can u put our names down. she said again “like i told u before it a hour wait there’s more people ahead of you” i said i understand can you just put our names down so we can at least sit. she said again “well it’s going to be a hour and there’s ppl ahead of you” i said.. i understand can u pls put our names down. she said okay and took down my info and said we’ll call you when it’s ready. i said can you make sure its a table or a booth, she said “well i told you there’s a lot of people so i can’t guarantee” like what?? i said um okay can you just call us when the table is ready, she said okay. so we went shopping and came back in 50 mins and we walked in. and the guy still greeted us with a smile and we said to the girl host we have a reservation. she said well it’s going to be another 30 mins… so you lied, it’s not a hour it’s almost two. so we said okay and sat down and we’re seated within 5 mins. like why cause all those problems and make us feel like you don’t want us at the establishment. me and my sister were fasting and starving but if we weren’t i would’ve went anywhere else but this was a area far from where we live. anyway the food was good, the sever was great. but that lady was so unbelievably rude and i will never be coming back. i would’ve spoke to a manager but i just wanted to get out of there. that lady should not be a host and working there, it was horrible.

From experiencing the original location in Denville, the Livingston location does not disappoint. Everything is consistent if not better than the original. Service was fast and it was not too busy when we got there. The cold noodles were great. I have not seen that at the Denville location yet. Place is super clean too.

I’ve been looking for a decent AYCE sushi spot and I think this has to be it. Big fan of their selection and their specialty rolls are really good. I appreciate the fish to rice ratio. I found the fish for the sashimi to be a bit too cold for me, but happy with the sushi/nigiri and the rolls. Its also BYOB and they don’t take reservations so make sure you get there at a decent time otherwise there will be a wait. We arrived 6:30pm on a Friday night and we’re able to be seated immediately at the sushi bar because there was just 2 of us. But if you have a larger group, it will be tougher. It looked like around 7pm is when it really started getting packed. Love that it’s also BYOB. They’ll provide an ice bucket upon request. Green tea is $2.50 each but they bring you a tea pot. Otherwise everything is truly AYCE. The service is nice and attentive which always is a question when it comes to these places. Food turnout is pretty quick too even on a very busy night. Price is reasonable as well.

Have always ordered takeout from Miga, but went today for lunch with our 8-month old daughter. The entire staff could not have been nicer. The hostess sat us in the back corner, we were able to order quickly, the food came out fast and was fresh and delicious. Highly highly recommend!

We visited Miga Sushi in their Livingston NJ location and thank God we arrived before 6pm. The restaurant has about 15 tables and 8 booths, but the ceilings are incredibly low, so it’s quite noisy.
Miga is a new restaurant in this location as it was previously occupied by another Japanese restaurant. It’s located in a busy plaza, off route 10 and in the same plaza as Aldi, Paris Baguette and a few shops, so the parking lot is very full.
I can’t say I was overly excited about Miga. Since the restaurant has a AYCE option which many patrons order, it looks like a factory. There are no sushi bar seats, but on this busy Friday night, there were 6 chefs preparing sushi, sashimi and rolls at the bar. The waiters were quite efficient but not overly friendly.
The restaurant offers a regular menu in addition to the All You Can Eat but the AYCE fish portions are much much smaller than those on the menu. My husband ordered the AYCE (photo attached) and I had the Chirashi dish which I thought was good. In addition I order the Age tofu which was quite tasty.
Not sure I’d return here for dinner – as I said, the place was very loud and it was hard to have a conversation.
There is a 5% fee for credit card payments – we paid cash.

I had a great time at miga Sushi. Sushi was fresh, and the order was on point. I go to a lot of all you can eat sushi places, and this is one of my favorites. I normally go to their Denville location but this was close to my parents house. Recommend calling for reservations for less of a wait time. The phone number is on their site is correct the one on Google is wrong I believe. Food came out promptly, presentation was great, and food is high quality. Not too much rice on the sushi was is a plus! Definitely recommend to give it a try for yourself. (5:30pm was when I went and not too crowded)
