Dama Blanca Margarita is to die for!
Goat cheese fritters with the grilled onions and honey was a great sweet and savory flavor.
Carrot salad has a great dressing!
Tamale had great flavor & paired well with the pickled onions!
Fantastic atmosphere, great waitress! Will definitely come back! Had a part of 6, food and drinks all came out in a timely manner.

Amazing food, I highly recommend the arepas de choclo with beef, the asiago mushroom empanada, the corn pablano cheddar empanada, the goat cheese fritters (though I would rename that as it’s more like a cold cheese ball). Our waitress, Ree, was so nice and got all our orders correct. The bartender, Beck, was very on top of the bar and they had a wide selection of rums and other beverages. The jalapeno pineapple margarita was very good too. We also appreciated that the staff came back and told us when our wait for a table would be a little longer, you can’t control that, but we liked that they let us know. Our party had a fabulous time here and we will be back!

10/10 We come here at least once a week! Favorite restaurant! Everyone who works here is amazing and I’ve never ordered something from the menu I didn’t like. Lots of options for me as a vegetarian as well which is much appreciated. Happy Place is always on tap which is a plus. We are moving a little further away soon and we will miss being so close to this place, but it’s worth the drive so we will still be regulars.

Yes!
This might be a little out of the way but it is the cutest little restaurant with the best service, the best food, the best cocktails.
I went on Wednesday. Coincidentally it was half price bottle of wine day. I ordered 3-4 menu items to taste.
For me it’s fun to taste different things, instead of a big entree.
It was a very nice experience.
Chef is amazing!
Server was fun

We went small plates route. First up patacon pisao very flavorful with great guacamole. My companion had pupusas, a favorite for him. I tried a seafood arepa as they have a seafood focus and atypical. Their only deep fried option and tasted more of cheese than seafood. I wouldn’t pick this one again. Tamale of the day pork came unwrapped so cooled off a bit too quickly. Pisco sours OK, neat cocktail menu. Cozy atmosphere. Attentive, friendly, enthusiastic service.

Highly suggest their food and the space itself was a total vibe.

I’m from Ecuador. It was my first time going there. I was so excited. It was sad that’s it wasn’t what I expected. The encocado in my country you serve more rice and less fish. Here it was a little portion of rice and a big piece of fish. It was more an Ecuadorian American style. The same with the canelazo. The canelazo is hot not cold but it was served cold. The quality of the food was excellent. But it is not authentic Ecuadorian food. It is Ecuadorian food for Americans. The ceviche was the same. It was served as salad. The Ecuadorian ceviche is more like a soup. While we enjoyed the restaurant, I truly hope they can work on improving their recipes and making them truer to Ecuadorian traditions to give their customers, both Ecuadorians and others, an authentic non generic experience.

La Cocina del Sur was fantastic! We were able to get seated within 10mins during a very busy time, service was QUICK as well. We had the plantain chips with guac, amazing. 3 empanadas, beef, chicken and mushroom all delicious with the chimichurri sauce. I got the special fish fry, it was delicious as well, would’ve preferred the sauce on the side as it made the chicharron crust a little bit soggy, but the flavors were there. My wife had the corn bowl with beef and that was very filling and flavorful, the friends had the infamous arepa, can’t beat them on their arepas for sure and then ended it all with churros! Lovely atmosphere, lovely serive and lovely food! Highly recommended.

A total gem! The second you step into this place, you get the sense that anything you order is going to be fire! The caipirinhas, the piscos, empanadas, arepas, everything is phenomenal. Also, the goat cheese balls, ceviche, and papusa were so special. Order to your hearts desire and allow yourself to feel like you’re on vacation for a while.
