A Perfect Cozy Haven on a Snowy Vermont Morning
I had an absolutely wonderful breakfast at the Country Girl Diner! Stepping in from the cold, snowy winter weather was like entering a warm, welcoming hug.
The diner it self is a gem—it’s a classic old Vermont diner that has been beautifully maintained. It’s spotlessly clean and has a charming, beautiful atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and well-loved.

Favorite breakfast joint around, so far! The staff were so much fun and engaging. We all enjoyed the meal and it was worth the wait! Get a burger at lunch but otherwise try their combo like breakfasts! Sets the day up for a good one.

LOVE this place. We had gone up to visit the Vermont Country Store and this was the place we hit after out shopping was all done.
The atmosphere is exactly like an old Diner should be. Lots of stools, sassy waitresses, photos on the wall, a jukebox in the corner and the smell of cooking food.
We tried both lunch and dessert and the food was exactly the right combination of tasty and greasy and the pies and cakes were FRESH MADE…something you don’t see a ton of these days.
I understand it’s been around since forever, and the cashier at the store is who recommended it to us saying that it’s mostly locals who eat there. It was worth backtracking a bit for us to get to this place.

We had a great experience at Country Girl Diner. We sat at the counter. Our server Kelly and owner Jess were friendly and the place had a good vibe. The food was great (Bleu Burger and Smokehouse Chicken wrap). We also picked up some delicious white chocolate and cranberry cookies for a great price!

Excellent diner on our way up to Okemo. Friendly service and in a real train car.
We got their two types of breakfast burritos, one with sausage and the other with ham, and endless refills of coffee.

Sometimes you need a sixth star. I got the solitude egg sandwich and it absolutely blew my mind. I would say I don’t know why it’s so good, but I looked at their website and the secret is top quality ingredients. Nice work.

Stepping into Country Girl Diner is like stepping back in time. The diner’s decor, with itsretro booths, vintage memorabilia on the walls, creates a nostalgic yet inviting atmosphere. It’s a place where you can easily lose track of time over a good meal and conversation.
The staff are the heart and soul of the place. My server was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. It’s clear they take pride in ensuring every guest feels welcome and satisfied.

My indicator of a good breakfast place first thing in the morning is a full parking lot. I was not disappointed! Award winning Country Girl Hash perfectly executed with eggs & toast. My wife enjoyed the Cranberry & Walnut pancake. Great food service & atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We’ve visited here several times through the years and it’s always been a good experience. On a recent ski trip, my daughter and I visited again, and the experience was exceptional. Our waitress Kelly made us feel right at home despite it being a very busy morning. The food was outstanding (homemade hash and eggs for me and pancake, eggs and sausage for my daughter) and the prices were very reasonable. The charm, authenticity and cleanliness of the vintage Silk City diner add to the enjoyment. Thank you Country Girl Diner for being such a positive part of our day.
