If you’re looking for an authentic Cambodian dining experience, Nompang restaurant is definitely worth a visit. From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming staff makes you feel right at home, setting the stage for a delightful meal ahead.
To start, I tried their banh mi, and it was simply outstanding. The bread was freshly baked, perfectly soft yet with a slight crunch—just the way it should be. The flavors were well-balanced, and I appreciated the use of carrot as a substitute for daikon, which doesn’t agree with my stomach. The sodium and protein ratios were just right, making for a satisfying dish.
Next up was the papaya salad, which was a standout. It had a delightful kick, especially with the two chili peppers we opted for—though I might dial it down to one chili next time. The salad included salted crab and all the elements that lend authenticity to this dish, capturing the essence of traditional flavors beautifully.
The curry was another highlight. It looked and smelled incredibly authentic, likely made using shrimp paste and coconut milk, just as it should be. I had it served with vermicelli, also known as rice in Cambodian, which was a lovely accompaniment. The portion size was generous for the price range of $13-$14, which I found to be quite reasonable.
For dessert, I indulged in the Cambodian doughnut, which was a revelation with its sugar-caramelized glaze. It had a texture reminiscent of crème brûlée but with a delightful chewiness that I assume came from a mix of rice flour and regular flour. It was not overly hard, providing a lovely bite.
I couldn’t leave without trying the sesame ball, which is typically hit or miss due to the mung bean filling. However, this one was a pleasant surprise; the mung bean inside was freshly made and moist, avoiding the dryness that often plagues similar desserts.
Overall, my experience at Nompang was superb. The food was served promptly—no more than 10 minutes after ordering. The total bill came to about $67, making it an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food enjoyed. I highly recommend this place for anyone in search of homemade, authentic Cambodian cuisine.

I wanted to support Cambobo’s business while I am in town. My cousin in law/brother reside in the Sin City. He recommended a few items. I order their Nom Pang special and Somlor Machu Krueng. Wow bit into that bread, though whew that flavored kicked in! The Somlor Machu was tasty ‘asty as well. I didn’t wanna finish, as I will get food coma. Haha all and all, it’s worth it.

Tried the Nom Pang sandwich — it reminded me of a banh mi but with a much sweeter flavor. Personally, it was too sweet for my taste, and I’m not used to Cambodian food being this sugary. The atmosphere was nice, but the service was just okay. I didn’t know how to order or that they don’t serve water unless you buy it. When I asked questions, the staff didn’t really explain much. Not a terrible experience, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

This is our second time coming within a month, We live in the southwest of Las Vegas, this place is a no questions place for us. We will make that drive no hesitation to come eat here. This time we HAD to get the pork belly sandwich again, but also had the minced pork and egg which was amazing. The papaya salad a second time then the larb was also very good, just had to emit the stomach this time but again the food has always been fresh, but more importantly, consistent. Will find ourselves here once again in a week or two, the owners are just a genuine loving family that put that same energy into the food. It’s always a pleasure and will be a pleasure to consistently eat here.

I’ve been wanting to come here since their grand opening and finally got a chance today! I dined in and had Cambodian noodle soup and all the flavors brought me back! It’s been years since I’ve had that dish. I also ordered 3 other weekend specials to go for dinner lol slaw ma ju stew was AMAZING! I absolutely love the Cambodian flavors and they did it right! And I am so happy we have our first Cambodian restaurant in Las Vegas! I will be returning again and again. Thank you for opening!! I will be trying the sandwiches next!

This family at Nom Pang know how to throw down some good food. The 4 dishes we ordered were the lemongrass beef sandwich, pork belly sandwich, Cambodian chicken curry with rice and papaya salad. There is no restaurant in Las Vegas that throws down a legit papaya salad with that authentic spice, they do not play around. Assuming the owners, they were very kind. They took an unexpected lunch beating with an insane amount of people and were backed up but even then they still got hot, quality and delicious food out those doors to patient customers. Unfortunate they aren’t on the south side but it’s damn worth it to drive down here.

Was recommended by my brother-in-law, super glad I tried it! Food is phenomenal, the bánh mì (sandwiches) were fresh, hot, crispy, and loaded with everything and more! Tried their papaya salad fermented packed full of flavor, and their spicy lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. The marinade is delicious and the bowl itself with all the veggies and fish sauce was light and refreshing! Service was also amazing, definitely coming back to try more of their dishes! The sandwiches was really good. My husbands favorite in vegas. Hes vietnamese and said this nom pang was better than any banh mi in vegas. We got the beef lemongrass, original, and chicken. What I didn’t like was the pork rice dish. It didn’t hit the spot.
The place is cute with a few seats. I didn’t like the location as its very very very far from the strip and next to a funeral home.

Made our way to a new Cambodian restaurant, Nöm Pang Sandwiches while visiting Vegas from Iowa. The restaurant is family-owned and operated (mom, dad and assuming their daughter, all lovely), serving authentic Cambodian dishes unlike anything we can find in the mid-west. They rotate their daily specials featuring a variety of traditional dishes, but maintain their staple dishes like pork riblets, kroeung soup, and congee. Be sure to check their social media or website for the latest offerings.
The restaurant’s atmosphere was clean and bright. I really enjoyed the semi-open kitchen concept and being able to witness all the fresh veggies going into the dishes we ordered.
The restaurant specializes in nom pang, the Cambodian version of banh mi. We ordered the “Nöm Pang Sandwich Special” and happily recommend this as a “have to try” item.
Additionally, the table went quiet while devouring the ”kroeung soup”. It was a harmonious balance of salty, sweet, sour, and umami tastes, achieved through a blend of fresh herbs, spices, and fermented pastes served with a whopping portion of perfectly cooked glutenous rice.
The freshness, and overall quality of the ingredients mixed with a family friendly atmosphere and superb service certainly made this review an easy write. Highly recommend!
