A great seafood place. If you don’t like seafood, they have a burger you can customize. I had the chicken, steak, and shrimp fried rice. Very tasty especially the unusual pink sauce it came with. The portion is HUGE! The service was exceptional. The atmosphere is really nice

Finally have a Surfing Crab in RR! I highly recommend you get there as fast as you can before everyone finds out how good the food is. We no longer have to make a trip to Corpus to get a seafood boil fix. This is my families favorite seafood spot.
We ordered a seafood boil with crab legs, shrimp and calamari. I’m not big on seafood so my go to is the fried rice. We also ordered the fried fish and shrimp basket. Our server was also the best, very attentive. We never had an empty drink and always made sure we had what we needed and wanted. Didn’t rush us in any way.
Food was so good I forgot to get pictures of everything. I did manage to capture a seafood boil served and a few pics of the inside of the restaurant. Go check them out for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

i’ve been here 3 times in the past 2 weeks and ugh it’s just so goood!! surfing special seasoning + extra seasoned butter & lemons is a must!! and the mussels are sooo good! i’ve had different servers and very time but Cynthia is the best! also the decor is so cute and they play BANGERS. paramore, deftones, slipknot, a perfect circle, was a viiibe check this place out 🙂

Well when you cannot get into Waffle House go check out surfing crab! The restaurant is well put together it is neat, clean, tidy, organized. The menu can be a bit confusing for your first time read carefully. Don’t just order without knowing what you’re actually ordering. The appetizer basket was $19 alone honestly it could be a meal just in my personal opinion. I have never tried calamari so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I actually enjoyed the calamari so other seafood spots better come correct lien surfing board or I am sending it back to the kitchen. The appetizer was delicious, hot, fresh, no fishy smells. I did not like the sweet chili sauce it was tooooo sweet for my palate. I loved the calamari without any sauce. My addiction is shrimp oh the shrimp was A plus not fried to hard perfection to me. Boiled eggs 3 for $4 I guess that’s reasonable next time I’ll bring my own haha joking. This is the first seafood place I have been to that serves chicken fried rice and or ramen noodles maybe a added bonus and plus for those who don’t care for the seafood side you can change it up some. Conflicted about the sausage it had no spice to it even with the seasoning added. But they were cut into thin slices which makes them super dry even in sauce and seasoning. I have been to plenty places who give bigger portions or the sausage especially when you’re paying $50-$80 come on now let’s be real definitely kind of a ripoff. I get needing to make money and being a new establishment in this area but portion size compared to prices is quite ridiculous. Everyone reading my survey know one thing I don’t sugar coat anything for anyone we are ALL consumers out here surviving each day given to us. The peach mimosa was very sour not sure why but I won’t get that again great price but no reorder. Music was not a mixture it was more of. Laid back vibe but I like to dance anywhere I go so music and seafood need to make the body shout to the music haha. Loved being able to catch several of the football games. Please check your restroom more often it was pretty disgusting for such a clean facility. The bar and decor was welcoming and inviting. I loved the candy bucket of dum dum but peppermints work better for adults going back to work after a good meal not sweet suckers but I also can be wrong as well. Everybody loves what they love and that’s what makes this world so amazing. I am still unsure about the flavor of the butter I’ll have to give it another shot maybe a different flavor will be better but to me it tastes like plain butter didn’t taste any garlic in it. I am a lemon stalker more or less I prefer sour things in taste. Thank you Lauren for giving us top notch customer services she did not Hoover over us very few second she made she we had everything we need and then some. Her value to the team needs to be commended. Overall not a bad visit I definitely will return and recommend to others.

Early in season, but even if you’re going to boil previous frozen crawfish, you might want to check flavor when served. Assuming this is frozen… if not, I’m more appalled. Only ordered two pounds but ate five crawfish before calling it quits. Service great, food is not it though

But what truly made our experience exceptional was our server, CJ. They were friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. CJ checked in at all the right times, offered great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the meal.
It’s rare to find a place that delivers both incredible food and outstanding customer service, but this restaurant does exactly that — thanks in large part to CJ. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to friends and family

The Old Bay and Garlic seasoning was delicious, after a while the salt does get to me though. The wait was a little longer for those around me with bigger parties. My wait was average and the server gave wonderful suggestions! The fried shrimp were great and the fries were some of my favorites.

Everything was great! Was patiently awaiting for this location to open and came on their second day open. we got the loaded fries and 2 boils, the service was great, our waitress Ambre was attentive and very kind. The manager came out and made sure everything was good. No complaints whatsoever. Will be a regular spot for us for sure!!!

My wife loves surfing crab so she was obviously excited when this one opened. It’s still getting established in this area and brand new so cut them some slack. Most employees are new! We all remember what was like.

I expected a lot more from this place. It was very mediocre. I’ve never been gotten a shrimp boil where the sausages are as thin as a quarter, I paid 10 extra dollars to get the sausage and there was only six thin pieces in total. The sauce that it came in had a decent taste, but it lacks all the extra flavor and the chunky garlic and seasoning that a true boil is supposed to have. I will stick to the bayou shack 15 mins away from this location .
