Luca & Lucy is an Italian-American restaurant located in the Valley Post development at HWY 280 and Dunnavant Valley Road in Chelsea, AL. We offer indoor and outdoor seating with a casual, classic atmosphere. Our menu boasts fresh made pasta, pizza and Italian specialties for all. A full bar with classic and signature coctails, beer and a curated wine list for bottles or by the glass. Open for dinner 7 days a week. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The food is absolutely incredible! Highly recommend the meatball appetizer. We tried the gulf fish and the veal parmigiana, both were excellent! We also had the tiramisu and it was the best we’ve ever had. Our server was Sparkle and she was highly attentive and provided exceptional service. I hope they add a happy hour in the future and expand their hours like the Homewood location.

Ciao! I’m retired Military 27 years and I was stationed a long time ago in Italy. Maybe some of your people watch the Sopranos some other movies like that or TV show but let me tell you about this place here! Luca & Lucy!! It is pristine! It should be a 10.0 rating I have no idea why it’s not! Let me tell you a connoisseur of Italian food. This is the best Italian restaurant within 50 miles of Birmingham, Alabama.! James leadership with the kitchen and the food is amazingly and beautifully delicious! I got the meatballs to try out the sauce, which is magnificent and the taste in your mouth was amazing flavor !! Then I got the veal Parmesan with pasta with true Italian style knife, tongues, and fork! Then I got the bread with an olive oil that’s original with balsamic vinegar to dip my bread with whipped butter! I don’t usually drink, but with this Italian meal, I had to have me a glass Cabernet wine! David was my server of and a Veteran of the army, which was beautiful and loved his conversation and his mannerism was exceptional as a waiter! Aiden to receive my first call to ask if there was a dress code cause I had a really busy day and to be honest kind of bummed! That all changes as I stepped in Italy in here! It lifted me and It’s delicious. It is my first time for me! It’s only 2 miles from my house. I don’t have to drive to downtown Birmingham or to certain places simular in Hwy 280! We have to remember that the Lord does bless us in many way! The atmosphere is eclectic with the 70s style music in Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jazz and sound which is perfect for a romantic dinner or a business meeting with gentlemen! The bar is beautiful and has 10 seats or so and the lighting is succulent and low which presents the atmosphere and I’m being very honest:!! Classy and Inviting and true Italian atmosphere! I grew up with Italians in Birmingham long ago. My dad worked for Joe Bruno and I’m gonna tell you. I love me some Italians and Italian food.! So if you live on 280 Chelsea, Greystone, Greystone Farm, Mount Laurel, Hoover: Guess what you don’t have to drive any other place but two or 3 miles to this restaurant which will give you any pleasure of atmosphere and a delicious meal for your taste buds that is beyond the imagination of flavor! Flavor that is original organic, and they even put basil leaves fresh on your food!! God bless whoever put this idea here in this restaurant because if I saw you right now, it will be an Italian salute! My experience here was Bellissimo!! Salute! Sadly just spent >$90 door dashing two pasta dishes and a side salad to be disappointed with our meals. The pasta was overcooked/gummy. The croutons in the salad are hard enough to break a tooth.

However, the food was not generally worth the price. Especially the pasta dishes. The rigatoni is said to have nduja included but it appeared to be missing, or blended very fine into the sauce? The spicy vodka sauce also tasted like it included olive brine to give it an unpleasant surprise. Not a good dish overall.
The cannelloni was a full meal, but gave off the vibes of a pre-made oven-ready dish. Good, but not worth 28$ on a night out.
However, the deserts were amazing! The cannoli wasn’t overly sweet and the waffle cone aspect of it was delicious.
Overall, we will not be going back for a meal. Though, I could recommend it for a few drinks, and desert at the bar.

Very, very disappointing as I love the Homewood location. My husband and I came on a non-busy night with a reservation. We sat at our table for 20 minutes waiting on someone to come greet us or give us water. No one ever came or looked our direction, so we left. As the hostesses saw us leaving, they told us to have a good night – they seated us 20 minutes prior.

Great restaurant but I think you’re missing an opportunity! I would love if your gelato, cannolis, coffee etc. were available during lunch hours! I’ve wanted gelato three times after eating at the other restaurants and it’s been closed. All in all, we love having this restaurant group in the valley.

Ordered this delivered and was really impressed. Pizza with a real true italian pizza sauce. Light and tasty the way it should be. So hard to find good pizza in bham area. Sauce is always the issue no one uses enough and either its no flavor or bad flavor. I want to thank Lucy and Luca for bringing true Italian sauce pizza out 280 and putting enough on the pizza. They also have really good cannolis. We cant wait to go there and dine in now that we know their pizza is the real deal
