Active Duty Navy. Stopped in for a quick slice with my family after 5 weeks training away from family. The pizza was SOOO GOOD! But what was even better was the service! Caruso’s was exceptional! During my five day stay out in Islip, I dined there twice. The staff was like a family, and they treated mine like we were part of theirs. I tried the Sicilian pie with eggplant, and it was easily the best pizza I’ve tasted in a long time. It was delicious! On my second trip, we all opted for different plates of pasta, which were also excellent. Afterward, we couldn’t resist taking a chicken Ceasars pie back to the hotel for a try later on. Another crazy delicious combo! Im definitely hitting Caruso’s when Im back in New York.

It was a surprise to find such amazing pizza in Long Island. This spot could go toe-to-toe with many of the best-rated pizzerias in Manhattan. I had a slice of the margarita, and could tell all the ingredients were fresh and high quality. I especially loved the cheese and the addition of garlic (which isn’t usually on margarita). They do a medium-thick crust, perfectly toasted by the oven. The pizza here was so good, we ate there 3 times over our 2.5-day Hamptons visit!
