*Update: I made the return trip and the gelato is fantastic: Madagascar vanilla bean, Italian chocolate, Sour cherry, and the Lemon are all wonderful flavors. The dark chocolate sea salt caramels are still the major highlights of this establishment!
This was a very good find, and I’m very interested in a return trip to sample more of their products. My mom got the gelato, three flavors to make Neapolitan, and thought the strawberry and chocolate were the best. The strawberry was similar to a strawberry milkshake, and I thought it was a good strawberry flavor. The Italian chocolate was more towards the cocoa aspect rather than the sugar, which I thought was a nice change. One of the best items there are the dark chocolate sea salt caramel squares. The lady recommended them as the caramel is made by the place itself. She was not wrong!

Stopped in for some sweets – they have lots to choose from. Cakes, cookies, candies, gellato, just to name a few. We got 4 slices of cakes and loved every bite! Quaint little place with friendly staff, great selections, small seating area – all with a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping in!

Fairhope Chocolate & Bakery is an absolute gem! The pralines were incredible—smooth, perfectly balanced with that touch of salt, honestly better than any I’ve had in New Orleans. The salted chocolate caramels were top tier, a true 10/10. I also tried the chocolate lava cake and it was rich, decadent, and absolutely delicious.
On top of the amazing treats, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service couldn’t have been better. The staff was so kind and friendly, even offering plenty of free samples, which made the experience even sweeter. I’ll definitely be back—this place is a must-visit

We bought chocolate for a pre-anniversary treat and it was perfectly perfect! Salted caramel with dark chocolate, turtles, and chocolate covered cherries! So good! No photos all in my tummy! Hahaha and hubby’s!

The food was wonderful. I got a club, quiche, and coffee. Best quiche I’ve ever had. The flaky crust was perfection. Employee’s customer service was professional, Kind and very knowledgeable about their products. A true Fairhope gem. 10/10 will be back very soon. My new favorite.

Best service I’ve had for my gluten-free, non-dairy eatin’ self in a long time! Let’s face it; not everyone has disease-riddled bodies, and some people actually choose to be gluten and dairy-free. I’ll never understand those people, but to each his own. I am always somewhat reluctant to open my mouth in a restaurant and ask if said restaurant has non-dairy, non-gluten items, because seriously? But they were very kind to me at Fairhope Chocolate and they didn’t make me feel like a burden. Their kitchen isn’t gluten-free, but they had a delicious Tortilla Soup w/ no flour for lunch! And the only dairy was in the garnishes, so no problem there! My daughter picked a type of caramel ice cream and loved it! There were so many things in the store that I wanted to try! It’s a beautiful store, and there’s seating for those who’d like to sit down with their soup, sandwich, dessert, or perhaps all three. I look forward to going back and trying some of the dark chocolates! Wow, were they gorgeous! P.S. There’s coffee and wine too, so it’s pretty much my idea of heaven in there. I’d recommend it for a treat yo-self, a mommy and me, a girlfriend’s date, a romantic ice cream outing, a gift-shopping venue, and definitely for a meal! Kudos, Fairhope Chocolate! Kudos!

I went in this afternoon for some sweet treats. My pastries were ok. They were very cold and hard to bite into. I came home and let them sit out at room temp. Now they’re easier to eat, but the pastry dough taste very, very stale. I would take them back, but was not given a receipt. Maybe I’ll come back to try gelato if I am too lazy to walk to Mr. Gene’s Beans.
