If you’re scrolling through reviews trying to decide where to go—stop. Dig Inn is the place. The moment I walked in, I felt like I’d stumbled into that rare bar where time slows down and good conversations speed up.
The vibe hits you first—cozy, upbeat, and just different in the best possible way. It’s not pretentious, not loud-for-no-reason, just… comfortable. Like someone took the best parts of a living room, a lounge, and a neighborhood hangout and blended them into one perfect space.
Then there’s the service every person there treats you like you’re a regular, even if it’s your first time. They don’t hover, they don’t disappear, they just get it right. And meeting the owner was the highlight. He didn’t just open a bar, he recreated what hospitality is supposed to feel like. You can tell he cares about the place, the people, and the energy. He built a bar that somehow doubles as a comfort zone and a business lounge. I’ve had casual drinks here, I’ve had mini business meetings here, and both times it felt like exactly where I needed to be.
Whether you’re passing by and just want to grab a quick drink… or planning a night out… or looking to impress someone with a spot that feels like a secret gem—The Dig Inn nails it.
Unique atmosphere. Authentic people. A space with heart.
Trust me: swing by. You won’t want to leave.

Ben’s place is super cool and unique. Great conversation and decor. Love the nostalgic feel. I don’t believe there is a record made that isn’t in there somewhere. Vinyl collectors, this is the place to go! Definitely worth the road trip. Thanks for making everyone feel welcome Ben! I will definitely be back to hear more awesome tunes!

This is about a month late. awesome little bar, the owners are great and they have the best music playing. If you’re looking for some vinyl, it’s definitely a place to check out! Drinks only, no food.

Destination Reinbeck, Iowa! Just another dull cornfield town with nothing much going on besides getting out of town. A recent road-trip found us venturing into The Dig Inn in sleepy Reinbeck. Once inside I thought I might have taken a wrong turn into someone’s 1973 basement. From furniture to the decor hanging about as well as some old school real country vinyl finding my ears I was confused as to how this place could survive such a town. But a friendly greeting from the proprietor, Ben, made you feel at home. It’s a cozy place where conversation is the TV at least on this day. Four or five taps of mostly Iowa beer, a decent selection of canned and bottle beer as well as a liquor selection that seemed Iowa normal. Vinyl records for purchase are available as well as played and sometimes Ben will even take requests. I enjoyed The Dig Inn. It’s a unique place in a not so unique town. Destination Reinbeck is now on the map with the help of Ben and his cool little establishment.

Quirky place but very comfortable vibe. The owner specializes in selling vinyl albums also. The background music was soothing and not too loud. There are about five beer taps and a range of canned beverages including beer and Cocktails, as well as soft drinks.

Cool place. Great selection of vinyl. Being in a small town, it’s probably impossible to sell a lot of craft beer, which is probably the reason that most of the cans were pretty old and 90% of the untappd menu was out of date. Stick with the taps.
