Incredible BBQ. No dining, no bathrooms, just outside standing room only or take-home. But the chicken wings were insanely flavorful and smokey, and seasoned perfectly. The ribs were fall off the bone, included the rib tips, and sauces just right to add sweetness but still had perfect caramelization. Friendly staff, quick service. Takes credit cards. Definitely a must try.

Take out only or eat in your car. We drove to a nearby cave park. The pork and brisket was so juicy and cooked perfectly! Best coleslaw I’ve ever had!!! Even the tots were amazing! Tried the banana pudding and oh so good too!! Not cheap but the servings are generous. If I lived here, I’d come here weekly!!!

Used to eat Texas BBQ in Austin , Dallas, Lockhart, once I moved here was surprise to find the quality of the BBQ at Ramsay.
Always excellent and consistent, something most people should try if want a real well done BBQ.

Definitely the place to go for great bbq with an awesome friendly hospitality! We had the family special, half pork- half chicken and it was perfect for the 3 of us. We also tried the upside down pineapple cake and the banana bread pudding and they were to die for!
Perfect eatery for a road trip from Florida!

We were driving through up to Nashville and we stopped off and grabbed lunch. It was amazing! The brisket was the best I’ve ever had. The pork was so moist and delicious. The ribs were also amazing. I hadn’t had potato salad like that before but it was so flavorful. Highly recommend!!

Being an avid bbq eater, I was excited to visit Ramsey with 4.9 star rating. Having eaten at places like Franklin’s BBQ in Austin Texas, I was deeply excited to eat the brisket here after seeing some photos and reading reviews. We’ll I got my meal with my wife and both of our meals were dry!. She got the chicken and I got the brisket. My brisket was grey in color and shingling. Once a brisket shows signs of looking like wooden roof shingles, means it’s over cooked and dry. I asked for a moist cut if it was available but didn’t get a response back if that is a thing here. There was a great smoke taste. Just extremely disappointed we traveled 50 minutes for such mediocre bbq. The mac and cheese was watery as well.

the best local bbq you will find. as good or better then the original mud creek bbq from years back. good proportions on each plate, good slaw, good fries. the only negative is the ribs, they are lacking in taste, over smoked nothing great for the taste buds, the service is awesome, great people. when real hungry order a double bbq plate, it will fill you up with some great taste.

Lo, every Thursday, as the sun dips behind the pines and the scent of hickory whispers through the breeze, I make pilgrimage to a most sacred sanctuary: Ramsey’s BBQ. There, amidst the humble trappings of a local gem, resides a culinary alchemy so pure, so transcendent, it would shame the banquet halls of kings.
The brisket—ah, the brisket! Tender as a lover’s sigh, kissed by smoke and time, it falls apart with the gentlest prod, as though the meat itself yearns to please. Each slice is a parchment of flavor, etched with history, patience, and the kind of devotion one only finds in the hands of pitmasters touched by inspiration. Barked to perfection, marbled with grace, it is not so much food as it is revelation.
Ramsey’s is no mere restaurant—it is a hearth of hospitality, a stronghold of savory righteousness. The staff greet you not as a customer, but as kin returning from a long journey, weary and deserving of sustenance. The walls may be modest, the chairs unassuming, but make no mistake: this is hallowed ground.
There is magic in consistency, and every Thursday, Ramsey’s proves itself an oracle of reliability. No gimmicks, no pretension—just the faithful offering of brisket so good, it could bring a grown man to poetry.
In a world that so often forgets the power of simple excellence, Ramsey’s BBQ stands as a defiant, smoke-wreathed torchbearer of flavor. Long may it burn.

My husband & I stopped by on our drive from SC to MO. I was looking for BBQ & came across Ramsey’s. They’re open Thursday, Friday & Saturday and they’re 5 miles off Interstate 24 but, totally worth the slight detour. Strictly a ‘to-go’ place so, we parked under a tree and ate in our car… fast food at its best! We had the ‘lean’ brisket plate and the pork plate & both were delicious (and lean, just how I like)! We tried the onion rings, coleslaw, baked beans & mac-n-cheese sides and all were good! Yum!
