I’m loving this place. Friendly, fast service with walk-up and drive-through only. The mullet was delicious and seasoned just right, with a perfectly seasoned cornmeal breading; I went with the seasoned fries (though some may prefer the slaw). The portion was generous. The drive-thru is well organized with two lanes, which keeps things moving smoothly. I’m already looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

This place really delivers. Everything was cooked fresh while we waited. Portions were generous and the fried chicken was amazing! The gentlemen who helped me was polite and professional, guiding me through my choices. Despite having to wait, I would rather have fresh cooked fried food than it sitting in warmers. The fries were a bit underdone for my taste, but were fine once I popped them in my air-fryer. Definitely going back! AND the value was great.

So, I’m thinking to myself, “Who can screw up fried chicken?” Well, Hip Hop on the Parkway can. The fried chicken was awful. Any decent cook can tell when old fried chicken has been rebreaded and refried. I was feeding out-of-town guests and was super embarrassed when they began making negative comments about the food. The stuff was inedible, but Hip Hop’s remedy was for me to return the chicken and receipt. Return the food? I don’t have time to drive to your restaurant to clean up the mess you made by serving awful food. That junk went out with the day’s garbage collection. Hip Hop, you just lost an excellent customer.

I asked the hotel front desk, “How is the food next door?”
They gave it a . So I walked over to try it. The menu is extensive. I was very hungry after a long game day. So, I ordered the fried chicken liver, gizzards and jumbo shrimp. The food was deep fried on the spot, fresh and very tasty. The serving are large. And I was stuffed! TYLER worked the order window, and he was very informative and friendly. I have found my new favorite, convenient fried fish and chicken (and lots of other food!) go-to in Tallahassee whenever I’m in town for a game or to visit my FSU daughter! GOOD JOB, Hip Hop Fish & Chicken!!

Hip Hop has never let me down. This is my go-to when I have random catfish cravings. I hope my trainer doesn’t see this post . I couldn’t decide what I wanted, so I got the Choose 2 Combo where you can pick any of the two protein options, and it comes with fries, coleslaw, and a drink. I selected the catfish filet and three chicken legs. It was definitely made fresh. Everything was nice and hot. I love hot, fresh fries, and on this trip, that’s definitely what I got. They also didn’t go stingy on the lemon pepper powder. That’s the best part! Lol.
Yes, the prices have gone up recently, but where haven’t they? I enjoyed my meal and am glad for this additional location .

I come here specifically for the catfish & shrimp! The kids love the chicken strips! Everything is fresh, hot & crispy!! Their coleslaw is really good too! Their prices are amazing & I love coming here when I’m on a budget!

Update: Livers were good, cole slaw was good… a little sweet though and the fries weren’t fresh..cold and hard. Didn’t check my order before I left, because it was all cooked fresh on my first visit. Check your fries..
Food is cooked to order..had fried livers w/fries and my daughter had tilapia w/fries. Forgot the pics…but will definitely be going back. You may want to tell them to hold the seasoning that they sprinkle after cooking livers if you don’t like too salty.
