I had the mushroom tacos and they were great. Very simple and loaded with seasonal veggies. Their black beans were just okay. This place is good for a simple meal—nothing astonishing, but the good service and cleanliness make it worth choosing over others nearby. The staff were so welcoming and had great energy.

A great little joint in the Brookland neighborhood. Kind, attentive service and wonderful food. I’ll definitely go back. A few outdoor spots are great for sunny days.

Had a great takeout experience from Taco City! We ordered fajitas to go and they were fresh, tasty, and came with some chips and salsa! Order was ready very quickly and appreciated the staffs friendliness. The portion was large, we have another full meal tomorrow! Can’t wait to check out their brunch next. Definitely worth a visit!!

Food is great! Small spot in the heart of Brookland, Mexican vibes and Tex Mex cuisine makes this place a very warm restaurant to have a good meal. Birria tacos were super tasty and the pulled pork tacos was really nice too. We got churros in the house and they were incredibly crunchy and soft inside, perfect match with their house made Dulce de leche. You gotta stop by!

Enjoyed the happy hour food menu and the chill vibe of the restaurant. Parking was easy and the restaurant wasn’t crowded.
The staff was warm and friendly and one could see there were regulars who just really love the place. We pretty much ordered one of every taco and they were so tasty! They were out of the flan but the tres leches was incredible! Definitely coming back.

I am a huge taco fan, however I was not a fan of this place. I ordered the empanada. The filling needed more seasoning and the outside was bland too. The shrimp quesadilla wasn’t fully cooked. They took it back and remade it. The mahi mahi taco was pretty flavorful. The staff was very welcoming and attentive….the food just wasn’t the best. They are still relatively new… hopefully things get better for them.

Awesome little spot. Very quaint. Love the authentic margaritas. Had quite a few of their tacos. They are delicious and thoughtfully crafted. I had the chorizo and shrimp tacos. They were super yummy. Avoid the empenadas. I really wanted to like them. They were BLAND. No flavor in the meat, vegetables, or dough. The delicious sauces couldn’t even save it.

If you’re in the Brookland neighborhood and want some quick grab and go tacos, then this spot is worth trying. Feels more authentic than what you’ll get at some of the other nearby fast food restaurants, which I really did appreciate. Service is fast and friendly. You’ll get tortilla chips and salsa to start. The empanadas were flavorful enough on the inside, the outside will require you to dip it in the salsas provided. It’s a bit bland on the exterior of the empanadas. The tacos were the highlight of the meal. They were very good overall (I really liked the tinga de pollo) . The mahi mahi was ok. I think the thing they really need to work on is their pairings and seasoning. Hopefully it will improve. They just need to invest in this area of their business a bit more by surveying the community or these reviews to determine what this neighborhood and their potential customers will respond well to.

This place was a pleasant surprise upon entering for the first time and has turned into a fave local neighbor spot. Prices are ok but I will say they give generous portions. Great vibe especially with a couple of their drinks . Indoor and outdoor seating and a small indoor bar.

They are back open and as good as ever. I tried their pistachio latte for the first time today and it’s my favorite I’ve had in a long time. Food is excellent as usual and they’ve brought a lot of new menu options, including many vegetarian options which I’m excited to try!
