Authentic Mexican dishes made fresh and fast. Take out from 11-2 & sit down service from 4 to close. You will need to pay for drinks on a separate tab with the bar. If i remember correctly they also sell their salsas! Check out the photos for some of the dishes they create!!

Thought I was at the wrong place when I pulled up, don’t be fooled yes it’s in a VFW building that they share but don’t let that fool you for what’s in store inside. What Chris is doing there and serving is phenomenal I was ecstatic when my family picked this place for a birthday celebration. Definitely worth the hour drive and will be coming back to try multiple items on their menu. Flavor and spice level on the food will leave your taste buds wanting more. Almost had to cart me out of there. Everything is homemade with the freshest ingredients, definitely try the Mexican Poutine. Keep up the great work can’t wait to see what the future holds for you guys.

My wife and I recently tried this place after seeing it on Channel 9 news. It is in the American Legion and very casual. The location was a surprise, but it was fine for us.

The food was…A M A Z I N G !!! The salsas/sauces were excellent. A flavor explosion.

We ordered (1) Chicken Tinga street taco (tender and juicy and YUMMY!). We also ordered the Birria tacos (Very tasty and not overpowering like most we have had). We also tried the street quesadilla with the pulled pork marinated with morita and pasilla peppers, cumin, garlic, rosemary, thyme and sour orange. WHOA! That was so good! We finished with the fried ice cream. I wish they sprinkled a little cinnamon sugar on top and added some whipped cream.

Very friendly and the food was excellent. We will be back again and again and again.

Taco Bien has been on my “gotta check out the tacos” list for awhile now. Residing in Iowa and often driving to the Twin Cities to catch some good music I seem to never have time to take that exit off of 35. But here I am in the parking lot of the American Legion wondering what the!!?! Yes indeed Taco Bien is inside. Almost like a ghost kitchen but you can dine there. Their separate entities but share the space. Great idea from the proprietors of these businesses. It that wood paneled interior with military pics on the wall and a sign in book damn good coming from the kitchen. Beverages are ordered from the Legion Club and food from Taco Bien. The menu is creative yet simple and for authentic taco lovers TB has some good ones. At 4 bucks a pop my frugal side knows that’s high end but I’ve heard good things. I had asada, brisket which both were mouth watering good. But the El Pastor taco was one of the best I’ve had. Our server was top notch and everything was pretty damn good. It is a little strange enjoying a good “Mexican” meal in an old school Legion with military headshots, TVs playing American Football, pull tab machine and the wood paneling that still holds the smells of the Legions days long gone. Make sure to give them try I know I’ll be taking that exit off off Interstate 35.

Great food. Very diverse menu as far as different meats and flavors. It’s also cool that they are based out of the American Legion. The staff is also great. They can get busy so be patient but our food has always come out faster than we thought. Highly recommend.

Definitely an experience! The food was great and we loved the variety of salsas to try.

We had the queso, birria tacos, street tacos.

Located inside an American Legion, the food was surprisingly well seasoned, expertly cooked and the service was super friendly.

I’d go again for sure, don’t be afraid of the odd location…it’s worth it!

Taco Bien is such a gem hidden in a small town. Could not be happier with their food the dozen or so times I’ve been there. The tacos are amazing but their bacon cheeseburger is one of the best I’ve ever had. Chris and crew know what they are doing.

This place is great. Visiting a local and found out this place is closing? Yikes this is a gold mine!
I’d invest that in the original chef; the style of Mexican is not your typical small town Mexican place.

Chris was great at greeting us and explaing the specials. The food is amazing! I could eat the queso with a spoon. My husband and I got the El jefe burrito, so worth the money! We will definitely be back to try out more of the menu!
