Definitely am coming back here again. Friendly staff, good music and ambience, unique cocktails, and delicious food! We ordered the portabella and okra tempura, but they were out of portabella mushrooms and okra, so they replaced it with eggplant, tofu, cauliflower, and broccoli. The fondue was so good. We both tried a chef special: the sesame pesto pasta with grilled pork belly and the lobster pasta with truffle cream. Definitely try these if they are still offered. I had a Thaigarita cocktail which was spicy and refreshing. The staff offered superior service with a smile. Compliments to the chef(s). No wait time although we did make a reservation on OpenTable. 10/10 highly recommend. Definitely a treasure of a restaurant in Capitol Hill!

I appreciate the thought and time that goes into an order, as small as a happy hour order or a post-special Valentine’s Day event, which encompasses quality happy hour food and high-end Thai fusion cuisine. There wasn’t a craving that 8py didn’t satisfy!!!!!!! I thank the staff, bartender, and owner, for their patience and high quality service, as well as the chef that accommodated our wishes! My party of 4+ always leaves satisfied. Thank you, Ben!! Will return again and again and again!!

The food was simply fantastic!
It’s Seattle Restaurant Week, and I tried their satay chicken, grilled salmon, and lychee panacotta. Wow, all of them cooked perfectly and very tasty. Staff were so friendly and professional. What a delightful first time experience and I certainly will come back!

Amazing experience! The staff were amazing, very accommodating. I went for happy hour on a Sunday and they were nothing but helpful, giving my recommendations for food, drinks AND dessert. The dessert was to die for, I just had to get some to-go cause it was so good! Would def go again to 8 Ping Yang!

This place is a hidden gem!!!

We came here for restaurant week without knowing much about it and left eager to come back! The food was all really good and a fun fusion of Thai and French or Italian cuisine. The portions were also really generous and we left very full.

Cannot recommend this place enough, highly recommend!

Unexpectedly discovered 9 Ping Yang after a Sunday event, and I’m so glad I did! The reviews and inviting store appearance drew me in, so I decided to give it a try.

I was warmly greeted by the chef, who was incredibly kind and always had a smile on his face. I followed his recommendation and ordered the branzino fish — and I was absolutely amazed by the flavor. It’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever had.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

ordered Peking duck breast red curry. Curry part is good, duck breast way to dry and the skin saggy and not scripy at all. Also ordered a grilled pork jowls, the sauce is good. But the pork has a strong pork smell. Will not recommend and not return

We happened upon this place while initially looking for somewhere to have lunch. We got lucky as we found a parking garage and when led out to the courtyard, we saw 8 Ping Yang. The menu looked great and the prices didn’t seem to bad either. We came in and received phenomenal service immediately. We were able to find a table for four of us (2 adults and 2 children) quickly. Their menu isn’t super huge which works to their advantage because everything they do, they do well. We ordered the Cran Rangoons, Bangkok burger, Khao San – Chicken Katsu, and the pesto pasto. Everything came out very quickly, was hot (fresh) and absolutely delicious. The owner (I believe she was) came to chat with us and was extremely accommodating and even helped my 3-year-old figure out how to use the girl to grab pasta, oh and she also helped cut the pasta so it wouldn’t be too long for my toddler; she was VERY sweet. I’m not too sure but I think she said they’re fairly new so I had to write the review because I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for delicious food!

Amazing experience on all fronts! The service, atmosphere, taste of food, and the friendliness of the staff is top tier.

To celebrate a friend’s birthday, we came on a saturday around 1pm. There was no line and the place was pretty much just us. They have a brunch menu, special menu, and a regular menu. It is a fusion restaurant but the menu had fun and fresh dishes, the chef put a thai spin on French dishes and French spin on thai dishes, etc

The food was simply lovely and flavorful. Presentation was also beautiful. We got the crab and prawn pasta, which was very fulfilling and the crab was plentiful. Chicken and waffles was also fantastic, especially the waffle it had a crunch and it was delicious. French omelette with fried rice also tasted AMAZING. The fried rice felt like it had some special seasoning in it cause it tasted more extravagant than your everyday fried rice

We had lychee panna cotta for dessert ✨️ This is a new place but it is in my top 5 favorite restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in the Seattle area. The knowledgeable waiter and chef made the experience that much amazing. 5/5 !!! Would recommend this to everyone!!! Planning to come back when I get the chance for sure! ✨️

We dined as a party of 4 and had papaya salad, a tofu soup, beef tenderloin, pork belly and their famous wagyu pasta. All the beef was so over cooked and chewy. The wagyu was also super charred. The middle pieces had some pink left but the outside pieces were burnt black. I don’t understand the good reviews and how they could have let two burnt dishes come out of the kitchen? Super bummed cause I love the space.
