Born and raised in Guyana — Albert Town & Light Street! My family owns the Sleep-In Hotel & Casino, plus we used to run a pastry shop on Sheriff Street and a club, so trust me… I know good food.
This spot tastes just like my grandmother, my auntie, and all the OGs in my family used to cook — pure authenticity! Everything is made fresh to order, so order ahead. The food is clean, the vibe is clean, and the flavor? UNREAL.
If you’ve never tried curry chicken with dhal puri — get it. The doubles were fire and the pholourie was perfect.
Definitely my #1 spot — a real home away from home. ❤️

Hands down the best authentic island food in South West Florida. The South East has LC Roti and Joys but this is the only cultured island roti spot and it shines. Rotis are soft and flavorful. The cury is sweet and tasty. Their doubles are amazing. I wish they were open later but highly recommend

Giving this place a perfect star. First off, the place is neat, the service is outstanding and they use paper straw. And of course the food is delicious! We ordered 2 drinks, chicken curry, 2 plain and 1 goat dobles.

Dru’s West Indian Roti Shop is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Caribbean food! The flavors are rich, fresh, and made with love—you can taste the tradition in every bite. The rotis are soft, perfectly filled, and packed with flavor, while the curry dishes are seasoned just right. The portions are generous, the service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. If you’re craving real West Indian food, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

The service was welcoming and friendly. I ordered doubles, curried goat special with pumpkin and baghi, plus a shrimp special with paratha and a bake and saltfish, to go, and I can’t leave out the delicious sorrel. The food was freshly prepared and hot. The pepper sauce reminded me of home in the Caribbean (Trinidad). I drove over 30 miles one way way to get this food and it was worth it. I will visit again soon to get my curry fix. Simply delicious.
I made a 2nd visit this weekend (Nov. 2025) the food was even better. The roti was even softer and more moist and the doubles were amazing.

I have been looking for a place to get a good roti in the Fort Myers area for quite some time. I guess I did not look hard enough. I found this place in google. The food was exactly what I was looking for with all the right flavors and spice for a vegetarian roti. There were 3 tables and the staff was attentive and friendly. I thought the cost was a bit pricey for what I ordered. But it won’t stop me from coming back.

Authentic, delicious, perfect, homemade roti, curry and a host of other wonderful Guyanese food. If you like Indian food this is a must try in Fort Myers!
We dined at the tiny storefront restaurant but grabbed more of the wonderful dishes to take home. The aromas were amazing, transported us to mom’s kitchen. Can’t wait to visit again. Wish they were closer!

The best Guyanese Food in Fort Myers and the entire West Coast of Florida! Service was extremely courteous. All the Food was fresh, hot and extremely tasty. The Mauby and Ginger Beer were bursting with flavors. I Definitely recommend this spot to anyone considering.

The chicken curry is beyond tasty, and the doubles are SOMETHING ELSE. We came back twice in as many weeks. The Trinidadian gentleman at the next table over said it’s the only restaurant he knows of that tastes like home. There’s a sweet auntie in the back who is working wonders out of a series of cookers. Fresh as fresh can be. Bone-in (which makes for the best taste and most tender meat) so just be aware if that’s new territory for you.

first of all, the food is very tasty and good. secondly the food is very expensive and the quantity is is terrible. i ordered a curry chicken and its always floating with curry sauce. my last visit ordered the same curry chicken that when i opened the container, it looked like some was eating and looked like leftovers. i only had 3 small pieces of chicken that i paid 18.00 for it and i think i am being over charged, my friend ordered goat curry and it was hard and rubbery. again food is very tasty but overpriced and minimal. i plan not to ever eat there again unless things change
