Great food, delicious beer, and a very cozy vibe. At first I was a tad out off by how quiet and reserved everything seemed, but once we settled in, we realized it’s just a small town joint where everyone knows eachother, it’s not a constant party like I’m used to. We drove 50 minutes to try it and we can’t wait to go back, I recommend the Lickey Chewy cream ale.

We had SUCH a fun night at Pog with our family. We tried 6 different beers between all of us and we loved every single one. The atmosphere is fun and family friendly. We are excited to go back when it’s warmer and enjoy their outdoor space! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

POG brews an excellent and wide variety of beers, and offers local/regional wines as well. Their food menu is not extensive, but very tasty and with generous portions. The owner/operators are ex-mil and that is reflected in their thematic decor and names of their brews (one of my faves is the Blue Falcon… ). Definitely worth the short drive to Cleveland!!!

Stopped in for lunch as we are working on the a school in the area. Kaley was the bartender and provided outstanding service. Told us a story behind the name, which made the place even better. We both had the Korean tacos and they were . My girlfriend had the dry white wine and quite impressed for a wine from Kansas. I sampled both the Porter and Stout and they were delicious. This is definitely worth the drive from Kansas City or the surrounding area! Go check them out

Food was good service sucks to busy laughing and cutting up at bar . Had to get attention to get drink refills or anything extra. Speaking of drinks that is my biggest complaint we order tea and all they had was sweet .. se and thing was when ask for refill they had enough for 2 and they were out..they don’t make tea there it’s bought we think because they said they poor out jug. The biggest complaint was they charged by glass no refills for free.. granted I didn’t ask about nor did the waiter tell us and no where on menu did it say anything about it one way or other but also menu did have tea listed either ….food was good and priced accordingly and portion size was good…..just frustrated about having spent 13 dollars on tea the bad service is what it is ….

We very much enjoyed the overall ambience of this venue. The selection of fine beers was appealing and tantalizing. The food is all made from scratch and tasted wonderful! The desserts were both elegant and tasteful. Our server was top notch and very friendly.

Upon discovering POG existed by playing around on Google Maps and then reading the plentiful, wonderful reviews, off we went to adventure a few miles south of KC to a land called Cleveland, Missouri.
The four year old building is clean and well taken care of.
The staff was eager to please in every way possible.
The beers were cold and quite flavorful, and we were extremely tempted to get the famous 15 beer flight.
As for the creative menu items…top knotch indeed.
We couldn’t get enough of the Apricot Cheese Dip. Warm, crispy, homemade chips were a great compliment to the brews, and the three cheese dip was delightful.
Next, we enjoyed the Frikadellen with a side of gravy recommended by the fantastic woman who helped us all the way.
We purchased an order of chicken wings along with some High and Tight Chocolate cake and a slice of homemade apple pie for our enjoyment at home.
It was a Sunday afternoon, and customers, both regulars and newbys such as us, were strolling in the entire time we were bellied up to the bar. We enjoyed this place and left feeling as if we had made new friends.
Thanks, POG, for doing it up right. Perhaps we’ll see you during your annual Forth of July extravaganza!?

Today was my first time to POG Brewing Company, even though I’ve lived in the area for months, because I thought it was just a bar, and I don’t drink much anymore. A friend recommended the food, so I figured I’d give it a go.
As I walked in, there was a large American flag on the South wall, and military uniforms in glass on several walls. That’s cheating, bro. God Bless America.
11:00am on a Sunday morning, I basically had the place to myself. I ordered the Schnitzel Strips and the Spicy Chicken Tenders, thinking I’d take some leftovers home to share.
I was worried when the chicken tenders came out, because they were very uniform in shape, which normally means they came out of box. I was pleasantly surprised by the seasoning on them, with just a little kick, and the chicken was cooked just right. The schnitzel strips were tasty as well, and the gravy that came with them was really good. The fries were perfectly cooked, but could have used a bit more seasoning, if I’m being honest.
Overall, the food was good, the service was great, and the price was right. The menu is small, but that’s not a bad thing if what is there is executed well, and I was happy with what I got. It would be nice if there was a naked meat option, like a steak, and side salad option for us big boys watching our carbs.
Even though I don’t drink much anymore, I’ll be back for the food I’m sure. Eat local!

Just stopped in to grab a green beer. We have been here several times in the past. Food is very good and service is great! The food is primarily German inspired. The owners are an Army family so the military theme is present throughout the food and beer menu! The schnitzel fingers are my favorite.
