The prices are very high, but the quality did not match at all. I’ve honestly had better cod at Culver’s. The “colossal” shrimp came with only six pieces, which felt misleading for the price. The lobster roll was also extremely underwhelming and easily the worst I’ve had.
On top of that, there were multiple kids running around the restaurant throughout our visit, which made the atmosphere feel chaotic rather than enjoyable.
For what you’re paying, you expect freshness, quality, cleanliness, and a comfortable dining experience. Unfortunately, this missed the mark across the board.
The service was terrible. Was brought some bread and water. Took far too long for return to place orders. Water glasses were empty and not refilled.
We asked for some more bread when placing order. After a long time(other tables seated got their food before ours) the glasses still empty, our food was brought…had to remind for more bread.
We had finished half our entrees before the bread came.
The entrees were all under temperature. The vegetables were poorly seasoned and undercooked.
Both fish dishes(salmon special and fried whitefish(recommended) were not fresh…old fish.
The calamari/octopus entree was overcooked. The octopus was hard and dry. Both were improperly “sauced”/seasoned.
And everything ive heard over the years about the massive portions…tv shows/other people/reviews…conoletely false. The portions for the cery high prices were small.
They definitely do not fall into the so much you take home category. Particularly the octopus/calamari entree.
The coleslaw from the fried dish was not brought out.
Then the dessert pie slices are sold ay $12 per slice. 1/8 of a pie. Ridiculously small for the price. Not to mention the fruit pies can be bought up front for <$10 and the key lime for $25.
Yet the per slice total pie price would be $96. Insane.
It highly unlikely i ever dine here again as it wasnt one component that was poorly done, but every aspect of the meal.
Responding to owner. Dinner Sunday Dec 28
Yes the prices are bigger than other places but so are the portions. One portion of any item on the menu feeds two people comfortably.
The flavor and quality is just amazing and the drinks will knock you out.
If you want to experience Mediterranean cuisine without going there, this the place. The owner and the staff are hard working and personable.
We love it and we will be going back:)
