Very mediocre but expensive food. This is one of those places that reviewers need to say is great because they paid so much. For lunch, we had the seafood mofombo, soup (which was the best thing we had), and dessert. The seafood was bland with no flavor- sadly it was improved by adding hot sauce to it. The server was pleasant.

I normally don’t go to restaurants the resort or hotel recommends but our taxi and Uber drivers even recommended this restaurant. The food was delicious! From the fried pork to the main dishes to even the side of rice and beans you can tell how much they care about the quality. I would go back!

Don Pepe’s provides a cozy environment as it is a small restaurant but that compliments the live music. We had a wonderful dinner. Has the fresh red snapper and the monfongo polo. Both were very tasty and generous portions. The snapper was well seasoned and very moist and the garlic sauce on the monfongo was great and went well with the ample chicken.

Don Pepe was awesome! Cool vibe, wonderful service, incredible food. By far the best rice and beans I’ve ever had. Flavor for days! Highly recommend eating here if you’re in the area. Looking forward to my next visit.

One of my favorite places I’ve been to here. The food was great quality. I got the pechuga a la plancha, It comes with plenty of rice and beans. The side of french fries and sweet plantain was delicious. We also got the fried gobbler (fish) with rice and beans. You can definitely each order different things and pick off each others plate to try different meats. I gave him half my chicken and I had some fish and we still had enough for ourselves. The coffee was great too, strong.
