The tables at the front are really close together so make sure to ask for the back. They also have a full wall that is decorated with old cassette tape cases and the music vibe was a similar 90s dance. Lots of fun.
This isn’t a fancy restaurant by any means. The vibe is urban and loud, with hard wooden benches, upbeat music, and a trendy crowd. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this isn’t your spot — but if you’re after good food and fun energy, it delivers.
The food? Tasty and satisfying, though not the best burger I’ve had in the U.S. I went for The Texan, while others tried The Champ with blue cheese. All well-cooked and flavorful. The best part? The prices are surprisingly reasonable — for once, we didn’t feel like we were being robbed in New York. Generous portions, too.
We skipped the famous signature milkshakes (the ones topped with cake) because we were already too full, but the regular shakes were still excellent.
Overall, Black Tap is a fun, lively, and affordable burger joint that hits the spot. Come hungry — and maybe bring earplugs.
The food was just absolutely fantastic. I decided to order one of their most popular dishes, the Chicken Sandwich. I gotta say, there has been other sandwiches I had before, this one is something to most definetly seek out for. The first bite has a lot of flavor. I could just instantly tell the chicken was fresh. The coleslaw with the sandwich too was definetly a very good touch, it enhanced the taste. The fries were a little underdone however I could still feel the crispy texture which is all I needed. For desert, we got their famous milkshakes, basically came here for that, it was like seeing a piece of artwork that couldn’t be touched. The amount of things they put on the milkshake not only looked beautiful but also had a very wonderful taste. I would actually highly recommend coming here for those.
The service was great! I had a friendly waitress who served our table, made sure we were doing well and asked if he had any questions. They have a very solid crew there.
Overall, this restaurant is a place to absolutely seek out, bring with friends or family, enjoy the night and have some amazing food. I will most definetly come back to this restaurant when I’m In the city! Amazing Job !
A special shout-out to our server, Jen S., who was excellent. She was really attentive, friendly, and made our meal even more enjoyable with her great service.
Great food and top-notch staff. I’ll definitely be coming back!
We were quoted a 2hr wait, yet we received a text 15min after. This was unexpected and not seen until 1hr later. After a bit of a discussion with the hostess, she was able to give us a table at the back. As we were sat we felt as though we would be forgotten; the room was dark, empty and without any music. Despite all of this, the server was very nice, attentive and the food was spot on.
The juicy lucy was in fact juicy and flavorful. The wagyu supreme was heavily drowned in A1 but my brother enjoyed it. My siblings had the onion rings with their Texan burger, and they were SO ADDICTIVE, perfect crunch, season and HUGE. All burgers were cooked to perfection.
The 6 of us shared the Oreo milkshake as a dessert and it was perfect.
We opted for a classic burger and a turkey burger both really tasty.
The milkshakes are really tasty and worth a try.
We liked it and would go back again.
