Nice and quiet atmosphere. There were 4 people in our party. Singers are available and paid via tip but will leave you alone if you turn down the service. Nice view of the ocean. I ordered costa azul (bacon wrapped shrimp) and it was great. The tortillas were absolutely amazing. Great spot to meet with friends or family.

Angel Del Mar has always been our go to place in Puerto Nuevo. The food is always delicious and the homemade tortillas are amazing. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for home style cooking

I would have to say this is one of the top places I’ve eaten at. The halibut fish just melts in your mouth. Everything was fresh. The top 2 places of oysters I’ve eaten. Hand-made tortillas were amazing. All the food was amazing. The drinks were good and the service was great. I am already planning on when I can return and have been telling everyone they need to try this place out. It’s definitely worth the 3 hour drive for us.

This place was located on a really good spot. The view and music was 10/10. The food was good but I wouldn’t say it was 10/10 langosta was good, they serve it was rice and beans/tortillas echas a mano. The rice was a bit overcooked. Beans were ok. The experience was great, I would love for the food to improve a bit more. But everything else was great.

Loved the food and the drinks. But just like every place in mexico we were charged for extra iteams that were not ordered or provided. We checked ticket and made sure they corrected it before we paid.
I had the XL Lobster with rice beans and hand made four tortillas. With a Jamaica drink.

Very authentic family restaurant! All the seafood items are super delicious and fresh. Friendly vibe with live music, spacious dining area and the fantastic ocean view, everything is amazing. Parking could be a bit tricky. Also they accept cash only. (We didn’t know that so my husband had to fetch some cash from the nearby atm)

Seafood Combination: Half Lobster, Shrimp Scampi, and Garlic Fish served with Steamed Vegetables, Butter, Yellow Rice, Refried Beans and Flour Tortillas.
The atmosphere in this place was fun and lively. A live moving band took requests from patrons and the ocean crashed all around the outdoor space. Unfortunately we didn’t have the best view of the ocean since the sills were covered up with tarp, perhaps because of rain?
Our waiter was attentive and we were served very quickly. The margarita wasn’t great, but not bad either. I really enjoyed the Calamar Empanizado, Fried and Battered Squid, with ranch and lemon juice, especially because it came in long sticks that reminded me of mozarella sticks instead of the stereotypical round tubes. The texture and flavor was spot on! The Camarones Costa Azul, Shrimp stuffed with Lobster, wrapped in Bacon and Fried in batter with a sweet sauce, was also absolutely incredible! I ordered the Seafood Combo and was pleased with the Lobster and Garlic Fish, which was super tender, but the shrimp were just okay and the steamed vegetables were disgusting. I don’t understand why they would serve such poorly prepared vegetables that looked and tasted like a freezer pack of a California Veggie Mix when there’s an abundance of fresh produce in Mexico?
Overall we enjoyed dining at this restaurant while vacationing in the area, but it wasn’t the best.

While taking a road trip to Mexico, I stumbled upon an amazing seafood restaurant called Angel Del Mar—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help with recommendations, which made the experience even better.
The menu offered a great variety of seafood dishes, and everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The prices were surprisingly affordable, especially considering the quality of the food. It felt like a hidden gem that locals probably love and travelers are lucky to discover.
This place easily ranks as one of the best seafood restaurants I’ve ever visited. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking to try something new, Angel Del Mar is absolutely worth the stop. Whenever I’m in the area again, there’s no question—I’ll be coming back.

Angel Del Mar in Puerto Nuevo, Baja California, is a must-visit if you’re in the area. With an inviting atmosphere, this spot stands out among the many great choices in the region. The food is fantastic—especially the shrimp ceviche and Cucaracha shrimp. The service is friendly, making you feel right at home, and the beers are ice-cold, perfect for enjoying alongside the beautiful views. While it’s not my top choice for lobster, as there are other places in the area that excel in that department, Angel Del Mar is definitely worth a visit for a memorable meal and great experience.
