Cuban Corner – A good Spot If You’re in the Area . Right when you walk in, the atmosphere grabs you. The walls are covered in signatures, Cuban flags, and that classic Havana style—it feels personal and full of character.
The music in the background, like Lluvia by Eddie Santiago, really sets the tone and gives it that smooth, old-school Cuban vibe.
Service was great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming the whole time.
Speaking as a Cuban American raised in Little Havana, Miami, I went in with high expectations. The food was okay overall. The steak was decent, but the tostones tasted like they had been reheated. The moro (moros y cristianos) rice seemed like it may have been instant, which took away from the dish. It didn’t quite hit that fresh, homemade level I’m used to.
The drinks stood out though. Seeing Jupina pineapple soda and Ironbeer on the menu was a nice touch—you don’t see that everywhere, and it adds to the experience.
If you’re already in the area and looking for a place to eat, it’s worth stopping in.

I’ve never had Cuban food so I wanted to try this place when I saw it. I had Ropa Vieja, which turned out to be a gently seasoned pile of shredded beef. Congri, which is seasoned rice with black beans, and fried plantains. Delicious. Service was quick and the waitress was young and cute with a smile. My diet coke was refilled. I had flan for desert and it came with hard candy on top with a yummie sauce. The price was probably too low for what I got. I would come back and try other dishes if I get the chance. Maybe tomorrow!

I’m in Columbia for work for the next three nights and found this spot that has been open a month. Too many times I have been to places that claim to have legit Cuban food and they disappoint. THIS DID NOT! Atmosphere, friendliness and delicious food at . I decided to order something that I normally only eat in Miami and it was SUPER DELICIOSO (a Croqueta Preparada sandwich). I sat at the bar and watched the food coming out and it all looked amazing. It’s a small spot with big love. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a little slice of the Caribbean. WEPA 10 out of 10 ❤️

Excellent place! Cuban Corner Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Columbia, SC. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything tastes homemade, from the perfectly seasoned meats to the delicious sides. The Cuban sandwiches and plates are outstanding.

Wow. The food was amazing. The service was very welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxing. Being originally from Miami , I always missed Cuban food. I tried several things on the menu and it was all fantastic. I’m so happy that FINALLY there is a spot in Columbia where I can get authentic Cuban food that I love ! Definitely coming back and spreading the word on this place !

I had one of the best experiences at this restaurant recently when I went with my family. As a Cuban, it’s extremely difficult finding a good place to eat that provides Cuban food. So this place is the best of the best! Great music, wonderful attention, and astounding food. This is the closest you’re going to get to eating good Cuban food. Trust me. Highly recommend this place. Also, I advise to have a bit of patience since they just recently opened. You won’t regret it. VIVA CUBA LIBRE 100/10 <3

The food tastes just like authentic Cuban home cooking! The yuca with mojo was the real deal. Everything was truly Cuban like a little piece of Cuba in the heart of downtown West Columbia.
