You want your Great Grand-Mother’s and Grand-Mother’s cooking? This is the place. If from Atlanta, this place is reminiscent of Mary Mac’s in Atlanta when the Lupo family owned the restaurant back in the ’60’s and ’70’s regarding the food savoriness and taste.
We had fried chicken, collard greens, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, mac & cheese, dressing, cranberry, pecan pie, like Momma used to make! and some of the best sweet in the South.
Cafeteria self served style, come early, or, don’t complain about the offerings. but most delicious!
Ignore the decor, its a basic cafeteria of sorts, that’s not what you came here for! It’s the food!

7/14/25 was my 1st time at this restaurant. I had beef liver smothered in gravy with a side of turnip greens and lime beans. I got to the counter to pay with my bank card and surprisingly they only take cash or check. Thankfully I had cash in my vehicle. I’ve been wanting some liver for a while now and what a disappointment! This was the worst liver I’ve ever had. However, the vegetables were delicious! I will try them again, but just not the liver.

What an amazing place, they are cash only no credit cards. Most people from the area know that. Good food, deserts were really good and a good variety. It’s hard to grab a table. It seems really popular for after church lunch.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant for years with my Grands and my Parents. The staff is nice and there is always a crowd of good old home folks. If you like fried chicken, this is the place! BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN TOWN! And we love the dressing. We even order pans of it for our holidays.

Great friendly service with a smile, and I’ve not had one bad food item or service from there. The food is always seasoned perfectly and the desserts are always fresh and oh so good!!
