Another good BBQ place to eat. I would call this a medium smoke on the meats. If you want a heavily smoked meats you will be disappointed. Want a medium you will be pleased. Meat was tender. I got the moist meat which was delicious. Had the banana pudding and flavor was good . Simple interior forces is on the food.

Great flavors and good value ($40 for a huge meal including sandwiches, sausage, a loaded potato, and sides), but major points off for temperature. Everything was just mildly warm instead of hot and fresh, except for the creamed corn. Also, the two BBQ sauces on the table taste exactly the same. Tasty, but needs to be served hotter.

Sorry KC, NC, and Cali… I tried to be loyal, I really did
But I can’t lie — Rudy’s BBQ here in Texas just took the crown.
Smoky, messy, worth-the-regret good.

Food was tasty but Mildly warm, not hot & steamy fresh. Only thing hot/steamy was the corn.
2 chopped sandwiches, 1/2 jalapeño cheddar sausage, loaded potato w/ pulled pork, creamed corn, & lg drink, for $40. The 2 bbq sauces on the table, taste exactly the same

We love Rudy’s BBQ since our college days, their brisket is always good, I prefer the moist and my son like the lean. My wife always brags about the turkey and it did not disappoint again. Sides are also really good.

I really like the cream corn and my wife likes the chile stew. Potato salad is awesome amd can’t forget about the banana pudding.

Excellent brisket! Breakfast tacos are the bomb! I have always been satisfied with everything on their menu. You’ll love the potato salad so get some to go. Next time, I’ll take pictures. We were hungry so it was gone fast!

A truly unique experience dining at Rudy’s.

The menu items are intentionally procured to be simple and concise, they know what their patrons enjoyed. We were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the establishment, they checked with us beforehand if the meats were okay before handing it off to us.

The dining area looked well kept and we were able to fetch napkins and a sheet of protective paper for dining on with our servings of food.

The brisket was mouthwatering and melted upon touch, and the ribs were contending for the best pork dish I’ve ever tasted.

Delicious experience that will be remembered and craved for!

Not a great experience at Ruby’s Country BBQ. The way the staff spoke to customers felt unfriendly and unprofessional. The BBQ was average at best, but the service really brought the whole visit down. Definitely expected better.

Been going to Rudy’s since 2001 in Austin. This one in Sugar Land / Rosenberg has really fallen off in the past few years. Although it was never as good as the Austin locations it has been good enough in the past. Went for lunch and spent $26 for 1/2 lb brisket and 1/2 lb baby back ribs. The ribs were ok but the brisket… shameful for a place in Texas to call that smoked brisket. It looked and tasted boiled. Tough, flavorless and pale in color. Smoke ring? A thin pink line that looks manufactured because there was zero smoke flavor to it. I say manufactured because there’s absolutely no bark to the brisket either. How do get any kind of smoke ring with no bark at all?? The service was basic. No more smiles, hellos, or even a passing “enjoy” when paying for the overpriced pseudo bbq. What happened to this place? Will not return even though I loved their cobbler.

The food was really good , I did take out so I can’t comment on the atmosphere. The Brisket was delicious i got the moist, they were out of Ribs so I didn’t get to order ,the beans was also very good. The only complaint I had was the corn on the cob it had no salt very bland but I will purchase food from there again.
