As a first-time customer at Pearl of the Island, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I ordered takeout, a papaya smoothie, which was so yummy—fresh, smooth, and refreshing. For my meal, I ordered the beef legume with white rice and sos pwa, and wow… it was everything I’d been craving and more. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned.
I chose the macaroni salad as my extra side, and it was the perfect complement to the meal. Everything tasted homemade and full of authentic island flavor. They truly satisfied my craving, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend!

Whether you’re local or visiting out of town, NEVER SKIP OUT ON A “PEARL OF THE ISLAND” EXPERIENCE!!! . Today I attended 1 of 4 locations, excuse me?? Where you here of Haitian Restaurants food chains?? . Yeah!! I’ll wait!! But I must say I’ve seen their business model grow from their 1st location and beyond!! I reside in Central FL and anytime I say I’m going to try somewhere else for Haitian Food, it just simply doesn’t compare to PEARL OF THE ISLAND! Haitian food when not cooked properly can be dense and heavily oiled/salted HOWEVER their food just never disappoints! My favorite part about today was the service we received from”Rose” extremely professional and kind!! I also had the privilege to meet the owner and she was so friendly and welcoming!! Walked in and immediately tending to the customers. Other owners can learn a thing or two from her business model, especially for Haitian Culture/Cuisine! My hubby extremely enjoyed their mango smoothie!! Ambience was very modern and CLEAN!! DON’T LET GOOGLE STEER YOU IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!! IF ITS SOUTH FLORIDA THEN THE BEST OPTION FOR HAITIAN FOOD IS GOING TO BE ANY “PEARL OF THE ISLAND” !!! TELL EM’ “COCO SENT ME!”

We Wanted a Carribean inspired date night and chose this restaurant. The food was very good. Flavors like my Hatian friends cook. The service took me back to the Caribbean where I’m from. Not the best customer service. One of our sides was forgotten, we weren’t checked on past dropping our food and drinks could have been better. We had to go find our server to ask for our check.

UNMATCHED!! The food is so good I can eat the white rice by ITSELF! I’ve never seen a Haitian restaurant so beautiful and elevated. I love the Hollywood location and this location is just right for a date night, girls night, birthday party, brunch, happy hour, or just a drink and hookah after a long day l… ALL THE THINGS!! And all of the servers are nice. Tamera? (I’m so bad with names!) is a sweetheart and everyone else is a good vibe. I have no complaints. Some menu items take some time but I’m gonna wait for fresh food every single time! And they have a live DJ on the weekends? and they have legume? and the sos pwa isnt burnt? I can go on and on… JUST GO!! The food was so good I forgot to take pictures. I got you next time.

1- the 18% automatic service charge, regardless of party size or order price. Is this a forced tip?
2- The small dinner portions were a surprise, especially after seeing the elevated prices.

I ordered the griot entree with mushroom rice( diri djon djon), and plantain, it’s the best I’ve haven’t had in so long. Not even talking about the pikliz, that was top tier.
Everything was perfect , but there room for improvement : they need to have the music at a decent volume and put fly fan on the outdoor table to avoid bug getting in the food.

My family and I were in West Palm Beach area and decided to support this Haitian restaurant , and they did not disappoint, the food was good and good portion. The only thing I would change was the music that was too loud inside.

I ordered a fried turkey with plantain from Pearl today and it was not good at all. The way the food look was unappealing. Turkey looked dry and tasted dry and missing seasoning. The plantain was stiff and hard. No sauce for the meat and no side salad either. Tasted like old oil was used to fry the plantain too. Furthermore, I found a piece of plastic which was attached to one of the plantains. I’m at work so I couldn’t go back to give the food back. I waisted my money and I’m still hungry. If I could give a 0 start I would.

There’s so many great things about this place. As someone who comes from a Haitian background, it’s been hard to find a dine-in style restaurant that serves great, authentic Haitian food!!! Not only is the food amazing, drinks are quality, and the dj and music they play is always bumping

I had a very mixed experience, but I want to start by praising Bee. She was absolutely fantastic – attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about getting our experience right. She even had to step in to correct a drink order that was completely messed up by another waitress, Shadd J.
While Bee was the highlight of our night, the service from Shadd J was unacceptable. She was distracted by her phone at our table and, even more concerningly, gave us dishonest information regarding the service charge. I will be contacting the owner soon to get to the bottom of this billing discrepancy and the lack of professionalism. If you visit, ask for Bee; she is the only reason we would consider returning. I shared both receipts so you can see.
