I’m visiting the state and came by for the steak dinner buffet. You start in line if you want a drink. You pay if you want the food from the menu or buffet. The buffet was $16 with no drink. You sit anywhere. The layout was good with plenty to walk around. They’re missing labels on the buffet from stew to casseroles to identify the food. Staff was friendly to take your dirty plates and give you clean plates for the buffet.

Haven’t ate here probably in 5 or 6 years as the food is bland. Decided to give it a try and apparently it hasn’t changed. I like foods that has some flavors. I will say the buttered cinnamon for the rolls was good. As Gordon Ramsay would say, it needs salt and other seasonings.

A wonderful experience. Friendly helpful staff, clean restraunt and food areas. Many selections in each area. Management stopped by our table to chat. 40 years of business at this location. We had never been here before and will return to try out the sirloin option offered as part of the buffet after 4 pm. Very reasonable cost. Free coffee offered as we ate, which was a lovely touch. A bread roll was brought to the table at the beginning of our meal for each of us, along with additional plates. They do offer various steak options Instead of the buffet.

Their food is packed with flavor! It felt like I was eating a soul food Sunday dinner. They keep all of the food freshly stocked on the buffet.
The staff are extremely friendly and professional. They work together perfectly as a team. I know that the owners/management must be proud.

I really liked this place. I had the dinner buffet. Everything here is what I’d call a cut above ‘standard’. It’s not pretentious, and everything is made well and with care. The steak and fried chicken are highlights. They have nice, moist shortcake with strawberry topping and Hershey-like chocolate syrup to go with nice, moist chocolate cake, among other things. Everything about this place says “welcome home” and that’s exactly what I felt eating here. The value makes this an easy 5 star.

I has never been to this buffet style restaurant before. So i arrived on a Sunday around 1pm myself & 4 others. Whenever you go inside the first employee takes your drink order. Opinions soft drinks & tea. You then get a tray an go to the next employee who you pay for the endless buffet. You then set yourself. A waitress brings bread & butter, clean plates & kept the drink refills coming. I can’t express the wide variety. Salad bar, meat bat, vegetable bar, dessert bar, & cold side dishes. I got a salad which was very clean & fresh. Then I got a 2nd plate of country fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, & a slice of cherry cheesecake. I was filled up. Lol. So if you go to David’s Steak house & buffet come hungry. Leave stuffed. Lol. All in all a great experience. I did not get to take photos.

I don’t even know where to start besides saying, “Just go, and you will see.” We eat all over the US at buffets from Vegas to California to Tennessee and beyond, and this is hands down the best buffet that we have ever encountered. The fried chicken was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside, the desserts were home made and delicious, the broccoli salad was the best and most fresh that I have ever had, the salad bar veggies were very fresh also. The bbq pulled pork was great, and the bbq ribs fell off the bone. The coleslaw and potato salad were great as well. The monkey bread dessert was better than Cinnabon. A buffet of this quality for under $12 is truly unbelievable. Our waitress Cindy was so sweet. She was exceptionally attentive and kept our drinks continuously full. Everyone who worked there was friendly, and they constantly have people clean as it is spotless everywhere. This place is truly a testament to true southern cooking and a hidden gem in Kentucky and the US.

So I see these steak buffets across the country because I drive a truck for a living and I’m always afraid to try it. I always think well just how good could the food be in a steak buffet because it’s all about value. Today I took a 34 hour break and this steak buffet was next door to the motel I was staying at so I tried it. It blew me away. The food was really good. The waitresses fantastic and it definitely had a Hometown country feel. So if you ever get a chance to stop by here do it, it’s worth it.
