Coyote’s Coffee Den is one of the most unique coffee shops I’ve visited, especially because of its beautiful garden setting. There’s an indoor area where you order, a covered patio, and an open-air outdoor space surrounded by plants and seasonal decorations. I went in the fall, and it felt like stepping into a cozy pumpkin patch—whoever handles their gardening and decorating has an incredible eye for detail.

There’s also a charming seating area along the path with a wooden pergola-style covering that adds to the warm, rustic atmosphere. I ordered a latte and tried one of their Outrageous brand gluten-free lemon poppy seed breads, which was sweet and delicious. I have Celiac, so I really appreciated having that option, though I wasn’t sure about cross-contamination with their other pastries, like the chocolate cake marked gluten-free.

They also serve food, including things like jalapeño poppers and other café-style items. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with stunning outdoor spaces, friendly vibes, and great coffee—especially beautiful in the fall.

I love it here. You really get some bang for your buck. Good size portions for a decent price. As a self proclaimed coffee snob, I didn’t try the coffee, but I wouldn’t expect much in this realm. Service, hospitality, and food were all great!

This is one of those more than meets the eye local places you drive by many times, finally stop and wonder why you didn’t sooner! Great breakfast and lunch options all made to order along with an amazing selection of baked goods and desserts. They also have a large drink and coffee menu to compliment the food. Small indoor seating, covered patio and a large garden area for those perfect colorado blue sky days! This is definitely making the rotation when down this way.

Great quality coffee, super good cheesecake, ciders, even sandwiches. Had a pulled pork sandwich, artichoke dip/chips, iced apple/cherry cider, legendary piece of cheesecake. Such a gorgeous place to hang out on our way through, play horseshoes! Highly recommend.

I have celiac disease and on a recent trip to Penrose / canyon city we stopped by coyote coffee den! The coffee options were so good and they have so many gluten free options, were super knowledgeable about the options they have and about cross contamination, they have dedicated gluten free bakery items that are wrapped up individually and gf bagels! I had a bagel sandwich that was delicious.

Our favorite quick breakfast & coffee. Sometimes we even go for an afternoon snack.

They often have live music at dinner / happy hour time. I love the vibes; cozy & homey. The breakfast burritos are a favorite!

They’re a quick pit stop off highway 50 if you’re a tourist or traveling into town. Highly recommend

Coyotes Coffee Den is such a gem. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, and everything feels thoughtfully done. I ordered the turkey sandwich with chipotle mayo and WOW — absolutely delicious. Perfectly made, flavorful, and so satisfying. Pair that with great coffee and you’ve got a place I’ll happily come back to again and again. Highly recommend stopping in!

We have been here twice in two weeks. Once for brunch and once for breakfast. Both times we’re a great experience for our family. The coffee is always HOT, unless you enjoy iced coffee. The staff is on their A game even when they are overwhelmed, and the food is timely and delicious!!!! This was a great experience before and after the pumpkin patches!!!!
