Anywhere that serves Modelo is generally a yes from me.

Cool little spot. Nice drink selection. Staff were lovely.

Birria taco with the consommé dipping sauce was excellent. Grilled, crunchy, cheesy, rich. Happy days.
Fish taco a little underwhelming after the indulgence of the birria.
Jerusalem artichoke dish was interesting and a bit different. Really enjoyed it.
Corn ribs – bit oily

Overall, a place I’d happily visit again. Would like to try some of their margaritas. Yet again, another great establishment on Preston Street – the best road for food on the south coast

We had the best time having dinner tonight with my mom. Everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend the corn omg, it was sooo tasty. They had a honey rib special today,which is a must try. Service was lovely, Alex was super smiley and helpful. Overall 10/10 experience

I’ve been here before so already knew it was good,so took 2 friends who hadn’t been previously. We shared tortilla chips with toppings, the birria quesadilla (my fave!) pork belly tacos and battered halloumi tacos. We also had the corn ribs which are just divine. 2 virgin margs and a spiced apple real marg to accompany. Very fresh and delicious,friendly and helpful staff,plus with our first table discount and service (well earned) it worked out just over £20 a head. I’d come back here full price anyway as it’s a great spot!

This place was amazing, took my brother and boyfriend here while they were visiting and they absolutely loved it! The food was top tier, plus the lady who waited on us was so lovely.
Went again and got an elderflower marg, insanely good. We tried the crab, pork belly, and birria tacos- all incredible.
Also cannot recommend the margaritas enough they are the best we have ever had. Tried the mango chilli, elderflower, melon and peach and they’re genuinely all insane

The food was amazing. Had the Lamb Ribs plate with the Beef Tacos and Pork Tacos. Everything tasted great, especially the Beef Tacos, but the prices quickly add up. You only get a spoonful of guacamole if you order it separately as an example. If it wasn’t for the prices this place would easily be a 5/5.

We ordered th October Fest menu which was meant to be value for money, but it seemed like good value for the owners, not the customer. The food- was rather small, 1 tiny taco each, and sad, didn’t look or taste fresh, for a total bill of around £100! The crab seemed from frozen as was cold and watery, tasted a bit off, the prawn taco had exactly 3 tiny sad prawns in it, the soup luke warm and questionable. Service – we were asked twice by 2 different staff ‘what else have we not had?’ (that’s a first, where the client has to memorise the menu for the restaurant), then we were asked if ‘we’re ok with our hands for the dessert?’ then asking for a spoon and being brought a fork as all the spoons are being washed…..? Also brought a veggie dish, when we ordered fish. Funnily enough at dessert, we discovered that we actually weren’t served one of the dishes at all! This was only because I decided to take it upon myself to follow the menu. This was rectified by a drink on the house and no service charge added, which was appreciated. Having said that it was all rather chaotic, unimpressive and overpriced considering the overall experience.

Halisco gave me a different experience with mexican food. The corn ribs were a unique taste, and the halloumi tacos were really good as well. A must-visit on your trip to Brighton! The place can get a little crowded and noisy with a lot of customers sitting inside, but that is something manageable when the food and service is great!

It was my second time at Halisco, and oh boy, I love the food! Definitely make a booking if you want to go at lunchtime—otherwise, you’ll be disappointed.
The corn ribs are a must! I could live on them for the rest of my life.
Every taco I’ve tried so far has been fresh and delicious.
This time, we had the chicken and the brisket, and both were so flavourful and filling.
