I love La Calentita Restaurant & Bakery. They serve an Italian brand of coffee that is so yummy. I am a fan of there chicken soup which has a lot of cilantro floating on top . Another favorite are the empanadas in chicken, cheese or beef with the green sauce and the red sauce. My main dish when really hungry is the grill Chicken with lentils and fried ripe plantains sides, sometimes an added side salad. End it all with a delicious cappuccino and an order of pan con queso, one of my weaknesses
Let’s not forget the amazing staff who are professionals, they welcome you with a pleasant smile and greeting. They work diligently to get our orders correct and out to us timely. Thank you all for your great service. Shout outs to the crew from Cuba and from Colombia
Respectfully,
Kevin Byers

Great place to get authentic Colombian food, service, food quality, and prices are awesome.
All dishes are made fresh, the bakery makes the best Pan de Bono in Broward, and their empanadas are the best, they’re made fresh and cooked to order.

First time in this restaurant and I am glad that I did. Service was polite. Food was well served and delicious, I had the Chuleta Valluna / breaded pork chop ,paired with Patacon and White rice . The house salad which is included in your main entree, was so delicious, served at the right temperature, freshly crisp and the dressing A1 flavored and Im not a salad person but it was again Deliciosa ! Do not change that! I will say like Arnold “ I’ll be Back”

3/2/25—After a full day of flying with my Maltese, eating sensibly, and settling into our new rented home in Hollywood, Florida, I woke up starving. I checked Google Maps and found a spot nearby. My husband picked me up, and off we went.
At first glance, the place didn’t look too busy. But the moment we stepped inside—boom!—a lively chaos of loud chatter, kids laughing, and people clinging to their plates. That’s when I remembered… it’s Sunday.
Jessica, our waitress, greeted us with a smile and kindly asked for patience—apparently, half the city had the same breakfast idea. No problem. We soaked in the atmosphere and sipped our coffee. (First round was a little cold, but the second? Perfect.) I ordered liver—because let’s be real, I need all the iron, folate, vitamins, and minerals I can get. Everything was delicious.
Thank Jesus this place is close by—we’ll definitely be back. Amen to good food and short drives!

I had an issue with the customer service here. I stopped in for quick empanadas and a bread. It took a lot longer than I expected. They were done. It was just that the counter is not organized well. People just gathering around without buying things. Staff can’t guide where the line begins because they don’t even know. It was frustrating.
The empanadas and cheese bread were good. They tasted fresh and we all liked it.
