The place is so cute! It’s small to stay and eat in- but it’s a cute little shop with a ton of options. The owner immediately came out from behind the counter to go over all the specialties and show us everything they had available. She was super friendly and very helpful- she is one of those people that makes you feel like you’re old friends.
The treats were awesome! My friend got the UFO- which is an ice cream sandwich with banana bread as the top and bottom, a half heathbar banana on a stick. We took home a cookies and cream banana and a s’mores frozen cheesecake– both were excellent!
Definitely worth a visit!
Getting in an hour before closing they introduced me to how the Original Banana Company works. And I must say, I walked out with 3 of the best cheesecakes on the menu. MAKE SURE TO TRY THE BISCOFF cheesecake! One of my favorites!
To the owners of the business;
Wishing you both the best. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

This April Fools, I let things get a little weird when I saw @originalbananacompany post they had a @fishtownpickles chocolate dipped pickle. I saw it, and I was down to get goofy with it. I got mine drizzled with peanut butter, but you can get pretty much anything they offer on top. The flavors were a rollercoaster ride in my mouth. The chocolate, the peanut butter all delicious, then you get to the pickle, and you just throw your arms up and embrace the experience. It’s definitely a novelty offering that I am glad I tried for science and fun.
My 4 year old loves bananas, and having it dipped in chocolate with sprinkles was a no-brainer delicious treat for him. The Ferrero Rocher exceeded expectations. All the textures from the banana to the crunchy rice krispies and the warm Nutella just made for a wonderful experience.
The real show stoppers for me are the chocolate dipped cheesecakes and the the UFO’s. Cannoli’s are probably one of my favorite types of dessert, and that cannoli cheesecake I got may go down as one of my all-time favorites.
The 100 Grand UFO needs to become a staple menu item. The ice cream is fantastic, and the banana bread crusts for these are the perfect compliment. I don’t even personally really like bananas or many things banana flavored, but I genuinely loved everything I tried! I don’t know why it took me so long to get here.
Keep an eye on seasonal offerings because every month they are going to be dropping some limited timed creative in season jersey produce themed desserts. Get excited and check this spot out!!!
