We recently stopped here and I have to say the food was a 10 out of 10. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the grilled chicken sandwich. The shrimp and grits with sausage was mouthwatering. We also tried their hush puppies which were really tasty. They put a twist on theirs and add coconut flakes. I was weary but ended up being really tasty. Service was friendly and informative. The restaurant had a very locals laidback vibe and will definitely be back when in the area.

We stumbled onto this place and were completely in love, our kinda place. Easy goin, laid back, great drinks and gazing food. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The lobster tacos were literally stuffed with lobster and the bisque was heavenly.

Our first visit and me and my mom both loved the food a lot and the service was phenomenal!!! We ordered so much and didn’t expect to be a lot than we expected loll so we got full real quick. All the dishes were very flavorful and the Lobster Tacos are a must!!!!! This is definitely a 10/10 from us and big thanks to Wendy, she was very sweet and accommodating

First time here and we really enjoyed ourselves! We had a few of their house special drinks and we had plenty to choose from the Happy Hour specials from 3-6PM. Bloody Mary’s, Grayton Beach Mojito, Hurricane, Margarita’s, Frozen Miami VIce, just to name a few. Then we moved on to their oysters…we had six different orders -Grilled with Garlic Butter and Parmesan Cheese – Crawfish Tails, Cream Cheese & Cajun Spice – St Jack w/Pepper Jack, Green Onions Gulf Shrimp, Sherry Cream & Bacon – Rockefeller w/Pernod, Spinach, Shallots & Cream – Jalapeno w/ Bacon & Cheddar & Just a plain Baked! Almost forgot, we got a huge platter of Fried Blue Crab Claws! Fish of the day was Trigger. My wife and I got it! She got a basket with fries and hushpuppies. I got the platter with fried oysters, fried shrimp, fries & hushpuppies. This place will give you your money’s worth on everything! Huge servings and the price is very reasonable, except on the oysters – but they are expensive everywhere! We finished up with an oyster shooter! Go here and give it a try – you WILL NOT regret it! Our tab was high per person because we had many drinks and apps! We’ll be back next time we are in town! Thanks for a really good time! Almost forgot to give a shout out to Andrew…thanks for putting up with us and the great service!

We weren’t expecting much when we saw that it looked closer to a dive bar then to a nice, sit-down restaurant. Boy were we wrong!?! We were pleasantly surprised!
My daughter and I both got the three-taco meal. The lobster tacos and blackened shrimp tacos were my favorite! My daughter enjoyed the fried mahi taco. The black beans were really good and seasoned well but surprisingly the crinkle cut fries stole the show! For reference, I’m not a crinkle-cut fry girly but MAN these were delicious!!!! They were cooked perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection! We know where we will be visiting next time we’re in town!

A wonderful experience each and every time we visit! Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill is hands-down one of the best local gems in the 30A area. Every time we visit Graton Beach, it’s a must-stop. The atmosphere is relaxed and coastal without trying too hard — it feels like the kind of place locals actually love (because they do).
Charlie is the BEST oyster shuckers we have ever encountered! We have met many champion shuckers, and Charlie far surpasses them.
The oysters are incredibly fresh, whether you get them raw, baked, or Rockefeller. The seafood across the board is consistently excellent — flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly high quality. The grouper and shrimp dishes are standout favorites, and the cocktails are perfectly balanced and refreshing after a beach day.
What really makes Hurricane special, though, is the vibe. It’s welcoming, lively without being chaotic, and the staff is friendly and attentive in that genuine, not-forced way. You can show up sandy from the beach or dressed for dinner and feel right at home.

A decent little spot for a late dinner. Cold beer, very good smoked tuna dip and decent meals. I had the Blackened Shrimp Tacos with Coconut fritters. Both items were fresh and had a great taste. I wish there were a few more shrimp in the two tacos, but overall a good meal. No wait when we went – sat outside by the lake. There was a chill in the air and, unfortunately, the heaters were not working at our table.

Every single thing that we ordered was absolutely delicious! The oysters both fresh and Rockefeller were excellent. The smoked tuna dip was yummy, and I look forward to having it again sometime. The crab cakes were the meatiest that any of us have ever had. The kids meals were very generous.
Service for our group of nine was friendly and efficient. We weren’t rushed, but we weren’t just sitting around waiting a lot, either.
We enjoyed sitting outside, with a little bit of extra comfort from the propane heater. We will be back!
