I recently visited this restaurant and had a pleasant overall experience, especially when it came to the food and service. The menu offered a good variety of dishes, and the flavors were well-balanced and satisfying. Every dish I tried was fresh, cooked to perfection, and presented nicely. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made me feel welcomed right from the moment I walked in. Service was efficient without being rushed, and the team seemed genuinely eager to make sure guests enjoyed their time.
That being said, the atmosphere stood out to me in a slightly different way. Since I visited during the evening, the restaurant felt very quiet and subdued. While some people might enjoy a calm and peaceful setting for dinner, I personally found it a little too silent, which made the environment feel less lively. The lighting was also quite dim, and although it added a touch of intimacy, it leaned more toward dullness rather than creating a cozy mood. I believe this might have been because of the late hour I visited, as restaurants often appear more vibrant and energetic during the daytime or at brunch hours when natural light comes in.
Overall, the food and service were the real highlights of my visit, and I would definitely return for those alone. If the ambiance could be a bit more inviting in the evenings, it would make the experience even better. I’d still recommend giving it a try, especially for the food.

I usually enjoy eating at IHOP, but this visit was a bit below what I’m used to in terms of food quality and taste. It wasn’t bad, just not the usual standard I expect from this place. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience better overall. I hope the food will be better next time.

For the last 27 year we have our Men’s fellowship on Thanksgiving morning. This is done in honor of my best friends grandfather, who had fellowship with his brothers and friend’s by going hunting.
This year’s service was outstanding and the staff was super responsive. We had a total of 42 men attend this year.
Well do e to the staff

I ordered the Blue Raspberry Lemonade Splasher and the Tres Leches pancakes and got no drink and basic buttermilk pancakes instead. The place was dead, there is no reason that my order, being the only one they were making at the time should have been wrong like this.

The food was hot and fast. The service was excellent. This is a small IHOP but the food was so good. My husband is a Bob Evans fan so I wasn’t expecting him to say, “The food was good”. This made me happy. We enjoyed our dishes. I had pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns. My husband had the same except he had French toast instead of pancakes. The price was reasonable. The value was worth it. We got a lot of food. The waitress made the service excellent. She remembered everything we asked for.

Good luck getting service, even during slow times. We were seated for 15 minutes without a server greeting. No water, no acknowledgment, not even a quick “I’ll be right with you.” Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not recommend IHOP Bloomfield Hills.

We arrived by 9:15 via life 360. It was freezing, the floor was super sticky. We were greeted by a woman who didn’t even take the time to walk around the half wall that divided the counter from the food. “Sit over there” she waved her hand. So the table was sticky and the waitress, who was kind did wipe it for us. We placed our order. I slice of French toast well done sausage for my husband, eggs over medium well done hash brown and well done sausage for me with a side of gravy. Took forever!!!! My eggs were over hard. Hash browns were still white with the exception of the top layer. Sausage was ok. We were in-between appointments so we needed to be fairly prompt. They waitress took 10% off for the wait. Bill was still $27 for 1 piece of French toast with sausage. 2 salty eggs and some under cooked hash brown. Plus 2 cups of coffee. Will never return. The waitress was very nice however. Here’s a photo of my well done salty hash browns. I didn’t put salt on them.

Came here for the free breakfast on Veterans Day and if the food wasn’t free this place would get fewer stars, I would not come back to pay for food here. The hostess station is very disorganized, management needs to come up with a better system or at least provide a clipboard with a real list instead of scratch paper. Getting a table for 2 took about 20 minutes on a Saturday morning, and two other parties of two who arrived after us were sat before us because our name was mistakenly crossed off somehow. When we did get sat and put in our order our food came fast, but my water glass had old food on the outside, and we never got refills on drinks. We had to ask twice for our bill so we could leave. I think they would clear tables faster if they had someone at the register so people could just go up and pay and leave.

(Big eye roll) walked in table for 1
It’s nothing busy at all
I’ve been sitting here for 18 minutes
No waitress
No attention at all
(I’m gonna admit my fault for even staying)
Waitress walks by to clear a table that left 10 minutes ago-
Accidentally asked me if I’ve been helped. I said no.
She said do you want something to drink? I said no I just wanted pancakes
Im thinking are you taking my order or just asking?
She walked away…
am I to assume she placed my order?!?
Smh…this location use to be busy!!!
I’m guessing I know why it’s not .
Horrible service.
Only reason I stayed- waiting on an Rx from the Costco pharmacy!!!
Wasting time.
That’s what I ended up doing
Wasting time.
Two whole thumbs down!
