Food was great!
Issue was the wait for our food to come out. Almost an hour.
Don’t ask for mayo, that took another 15 minutes.
Could have been because of short kitchen staff? Gracie our waitress was great.
Ed the owner chef was welcoming and appreciated. Ed was walking the floor and greeting patrons.
Worth trying again, just hope the food comes quicker next time.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and asked multiple questions about the menu to ensure my meal would be something I would consume .
When the food arrived, it included ingredients not listed on the menu and not mentioned during my questions—ingredients I am allergic to. As a result, the meal was inedible.
When I explained the issue (calmly & politely), Ed Wiley, the manager/owner was dismissive, rude (*told my mother WHATEVER when she was speaking to him) refused to offer a replacement, and insisted I pay for a dish I could not eat due to their inaccurate menu information. He actually suggested just eating around the food I was allergic to. I’m not a person out here looking for a free meal, just seems like bad business to refuse a replacement and be rude.
This was a disappointing experience, and I hope they improve menu accuracy, allergy awareness, and customer service moving forward.
Disappointed with the service. Service was too slow, took forever to get the dish.
4 Stars to food.
2 Stars to Service.
Upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant was out of four fountain drink options as well as sweet tea on a Saturday night. While dining, one guest discovered a paper-like substance embedded in her burger. This substance was later identified as patty paper, which is typically used to separate frozen burger patties and should have been removed prior to cooking. It was served directly on the burger and partially consumed before being noticed.
We immediately notified our server, Jose, who requested that the paper be placed in a to-go container so he could show the chef. Shortly afterward, the owner, Ed, approached our table and asked what the issue was, despite already being informed by his staff. He asked the guest how she wanted the situation handled, which was surprising given the seriousness of the issue and the number of guests present. A sincere apology and immediate resolution would have been more appropriate, especially since he stated that he personally cooked the burger.
Instead, Ed dismissed the situation by stating it was “no big deal,” commented that the guest had eaten some of the patty paper, and asked if we were “trolling” him. His demeanor was rude, unprofessional, and lacking in basic customer service.
This situation could have been easily resolved by taking responsibility, apologizing, and comping the affected meal, as our server initially indicated would happen. Unfortunately, the owner’s response overshadowed any attempt at resolution. Due to this experience and the lack of accountability shown, I will not be returning or supporting this business.
Upon arrival, only 4 seats were set up for our party. The host claimed she thought the reservation was for 2–6 people instead of 26, which immediately set the tone for the evening. For a reservation of that size, there should have been clear confirmation and preparation. We were informed that several menu items were unavailable because they had run out of smoked chicken. For a restaurant branded as a “Prime Smokehouse,” running out of a signature specialty is unacceptable and reflects a serious lack of planning.
We waited well over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was barely warm and very mediocre. Several items had to be remade due to the temperature and overall appearance. The service was extremely inattentive. We had to repeatedly ask for drink refills and basic assistance throughout the evening. To make matters worse, several people in our group were charged for items they ordered but never received and had to request corrections to their checks, adding even more frustration to an already disappointing experience.
When concerns were brought to the owner, instead of apologizing for the long wait or offering any type of resolution, he argued about food being sent back because “he still had to pay for it.” There was no accountability and no attempt to make the situation right.
Despite the poor experience, each check still included an automatic 18% gratuity due to our party size, which we paid.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was incredibly disappointing, and I won’t be returning.
