My partner and I have come here twice for breakfast since moving nearby and we love it! They serve breakfast until 3pm which is great for weekends when we want some chilaquiles later in the day. The chilaquiles verde is my favorite and the horchata is super creamy and flavorful. The plates are definitely worth the price, they’re packed with beans and meat (if you order it), and the onions and salsas are super fresh. They also play nice music which adds to the atmosphere. All good experiences for us so far, we’ll be back soon!

Cafe Silvestre is our favorite place to go whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. The variety of choices is amazing. They have samplers to try and the drinks are the best in the world, seriously. We’ve try quite a few and honestly, can’t pick a favorite. They are all that amazing and the taco selection have just as many choices to pick from. You truly can not go wrong with dining here. We had Stephanie today as our waitress and she was so pleasant and nice, which just enhances the experience. Talk about experiences, they decorate for all the holidays which just makes it that much better. It’s amazing from the moment you walk in. The food is always consistently good. They never have an off night, at least not that we’ve experienced. Which can not always be said about other restaurants we’ve gone to. So yes, we highly recommend Cafe Silvestre for any dining options.

Been living in West Valley for decades and this Mexican restaurant was on my radar ever since. I finally made that decision and stop on a non busy Wednesday afternoon where it seem like a relic kinda building. There was a sign where the entrance going into the parking lot which is one way of course and plenty of parking but will get busy later in the evening per Google map foot traffic chart.
Its true what they say about finding an entrance to walk in the doors(1 door on the east and 1 door on west side of it before the main door heading inside. Feel like walking into a cavern I say….pun intended. When you finally reach your destination door and going inside, you be greeted by a host asking how many in your group. It’s a good atmosphere but not like a fine or luxury dinning experience but chill/relax atmosphere get together.
After we were seated and feel that Cafe Silvester owner atmosphere, I can tell the owner like plants and keep it simple all around inside. But the main focus is the food for sure.
Our waitress was Alejandra…..she definately deserve waitress of the year award! She gave us our menu and there was a LOT choices you can order from it…my eyes just don’t know what to pick from the choices. End up ordering the Salsa and Chips, Steakhouse Taco Trio, Pollo al Chipotle, and Pozole. Most Mexican restaurant, the salsa and chips are complimentary but it’s not at Cafe Silvester so keep in mind you be charge.
We would get our drinks then salsa and chips first to warm up before the main dish. When our main dish came out, our server Alejandra warn us it’s HOT to touch so be warn on that and I usually let my plate sit for a bit before I chow down.
The Salsa and Chips was good….by my taste bud standard, the salsa is mild so it’s not spicy by all mean. As for the chips, crispy like it’s freshly came from the deep fryer.
The Steakhouse Taco Trio, nice presentation by the way. The steak was season well and gets my thumb up. Corn was amazing and flour tortilla was great. I’m very please in the taste.
The Pollo al Chiptole, the plate was MASSIVE! My eyes just like WOW…not sure if I can finish it. Also, it came with 2 flour tortilla(chalupa like) but taste delicious. The chicken was amazing and salad, was that great too! The black beans was awesome…for the record, I’m not a big fan of beans but it was done right. You can say it’s like the black bean at Cafe Rio. I’m please and I actually finish my plate…lol. Our server didn’t think I could finish it…tehe.
Finally, the Pozole….wonderful soup dish! There was too much food for my tummy to handle but end up take this one home to try. It had pork meats, hominy(dry corn kernels) in it, and condiments. It could be superd if it use pork shoulder with pork skin in it….tender of course. But it’s a wonderful soup to try it.
Conclusion, I was satisfy and this Mexican Restaurant is a gem by itself that sit in the heart of West Valley, Utah. It’s a MUST TRY if anyone haven’t try it yet. For any restaurant to succeed, you gotta have good food and service and this place nail it for me. Food was wonderful and flavorful. Service was fantastic and our server always check up on us so we feel value as a customer…..WAY TO GO ALEJANDRA!!! You get your bang for your buck coming here and reasonly price. Would I come again? ABSOLUTELY!!! I will be back and try other dish. Tehe. Keep up the wonderful food and service. Happy customer here.

this is my second visit and the food here is outstanding! I had the gringas Al Pastor tacos and my wife had the poblano enchiladas. Both were incredibly good. The guacamole was also top notch. Our server Sabrina was excellent and made good recommendations. The atmosphere was very fun and festive. They had a whole bunch of like tinsel and lights. It was kind of like a party. Highly recommend.

Went in on a Friday night and had an amazing experience all around. The food was delicious (would highly recommend the elote fries), service was incredible, the male host with the braid in his hair was very polite and our server did an amazing job taking care of us regardless of how busy they were. Coming from Texas, we have had a hard time finding good Mexican food in Utah. My husband had Chile Verde and I had the Quesabirria tacos. The portions were good sized and the food was so delicious! Stephanie was our server and she was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave us suggestions of meals to order and was very attentive and personable. She was a rock star! The food came out of the kitchen super fast and hot. We will definitely be back soon! We highly recommend dining here!

First time here. Absolutely delicious food. My boyfriend said it’s the best Mexican food he’s had since he moved SLC 3 years ago. Had the Pina Margarita, delish, made me feel like I was at a beach resort in old Mexico❤️. Stephanie was our server, 5 stars all the way, so friendly and helpful.

Clean and cozy place. Entrance is kind of interesting but cool. Heads up if you do have a big party everyone does have to be there to be seated/put an order. Kind of busy but our food came out hot and delicious. We all enjoyed our plate a lot. Highly recommend coming here.
