Sausage egg and cheese on a garlic bagel was delicious! This was the most garlicky garlic bagel I’ve had. The portugese egg tarts were also delicious and buttery. There was a long line but it moved quickly. Will definitely be going back!

Was in the area for an event with my wife and toddler and we decided to check this place out. There are plenty of parking spaces which made it convenient traveling with a little kid. I ordered lox on a bagel with scallion cream cheese, tomato, and onions and my wife and kid shared a rainbow bagel with bacon and scallion cream cheese (first bagel shop I’ve been to that had this combination but it was great.) Our bagels were delicious. The bagels aren’t super dense and thick but very light and fluffy. My 2 year old kept asking for more bites and she typically doesn’t really enjoy eating bagels from previous experiences. All to say we had a very pleasant experience and if we lived in the area we would come here more regularly. Would definitely check it out!

I normally don’t write reviews, but my experiences at this bagel shop have been so consistently negative that I feel I have to speak up. As a Black customer, I have never once felt welcome here. Each time I’ve visited, the attitude toward me has been unfriendly at best and openly dismissive at worst.
On one occasion, I placed a large order over the phone $48 worth of food and when I arrived to pick it up, I was ignored and refused service. This was not just frustrating, it was humiliating. What makes it worse is that this wasn’t an isolated event. Every single visit has come with the same cold, unwelcoming behavior.
No business should operate in a way that makes certain groups of people feel unwanted or invisible, but unfortunately, that is exactly how this place treats Black customers. It’s incredibly disappointing to see this kind of behavior in 2025, when fairness, respect, and equal treatment should be the bare minimum.
If you are Black, or if you simply value businesses that treat people equally regardless of who they are, I strongly urge you to take your money elsewhere. No one deserves to pay for food while being treated as though they don’t belong. Until this store changes its culture, it is absolutely not the place for Black people.

One of my biggest pet peeves if I get an everything bagel is when the bagel is naked. Apparently the bagels I shared photos of are what this place calls everything.
I ordered on door dash and even specified that I wanted bagels with a lot of seasoning on them. They might as well have given me plain bagels. Also, one of the bagels I got is egg everything when I asked for regular everything.
The bagel also tastes very bland.
The eggs and hash browns were good though.
Please stop serving naked everything bagels.

I used to stop here every morning on the way to work for breakfast, but that ends today. This afternoon I ordered pastrami and Swiss on a hero. As you can see from the photo, there are two slices of pastrami on the entire sandwich. I’m pretty sure they just tossed it on the microwave too, no part of this sandwich ever touched a grill. I paid 14 bucks for this. Bye Felicia!

Being a local who has since moved away the NC, when I come home the first place we hit is Wellwood bagels. This time I was completely disappointed. These bagels are absolutely disgusting. They taste just like any chain bagel store or even worse, a frozen bagel!! In addition to being ridiculously chewy, what everything bagel has hardly any seeds?? Very sad to see how they have gone downhill.
