I’m not sure what’s going on with this place lately. I’ve tried to place an order a few times in recent weeks, and each time the girl at the ordering station quoted a 45-minute wait. One visit was around 7pm in the evening, the other was on a Tuesday around 1:30pm. In both cases, I was the only person in the restaurant. No one dining in, no visible pickup orders waiting, nothing.
The explanation has been that everything is made fresh to order, but so is food at most restaurants, and I’ve never experienced a 45-minute wait under those conditions. Wok and flat-top dishes are typically quick and straightforward to prepare, especially with rice or noodles, so the long wait feels unusual.
I genuinely want to support local neighborhood establishments, but something here feels “off.” The food used to be quick and good quality, so I’m not sure what has changed recently. This no longer feels “express,” and the atmosphere has become a bit cold. Hoping things turn around, because this used to be a solid spot.

I am honestly so saddened to write this because I used to really enjoy coming here. I even recommended this place to a friend recently, but they reached out to let me know they had seen a video of roaches at this location. Because hygiene is a non-negotiable for me, I decided to look up the official Kent County food inspection reports, and seeing the documented violations was the final straw. It’s incredibly disappointing and, frankly, disgusting to see such a drop in standards. I won’t be returning and can no longer recommend it to others.

The food is excellent and the portions are generous, but if you’re planning on ordering takeout it never takes less than 45 minutes. There is nothing “express” about it. Most recent experience took an hour for my food and in the 25 minutes I spent sitting in the empty restaurant waiting, not a single other customer came in to pick up food. It doesn’t make sense.

Very clean. Friendly service and the food is great! The filet mignon was tender & juicy even tho I ordered it med-well. The dumplings are soft and tender with delicious pork centers. The salad dressing is the bomb! Also the yum-yum sauce for the steak. Will definitely be back again. Was not disappointed with this dinner.

I saw this place opened a few weeks ago and checked out their menu. The menu is small, but very appetizing. Just a foreword, this is a Must Try! Give them a shot you won’t regret it.
It’s nice inside, but not really set up right now due to pandemic and carry out only.
I ordered the Teppanyaki Filet Mignon which comes with Fried Rice, Garlic Noodles, and Soup (Miso?) or Salad. Plus a side order of
Tonkatsu (Pork Cutlet). I order my steak medium and it was cooked perfectly with great seasoning. The steak was great, however it came with a Yum Yum Steak Sauce that was fantastic and made the steak outstanding. The fried rice was very good. The Garlic Noodles were outstanding, and worth going just for an order of them. The soup was nice and hot, and hit the spot. The
Tonkatsu was good, just not as good as main meal.
They have the Teppanyaki in many varieties: 2 steaks, chicken, shrimp, scallops, tuna, and maybe 1 more. The meal was very well packed and easily survived the ride home.
The service was very good and friendly.
Overall a 5 star review and I will be back very soon!

Good food, big portions. But it is usually an hour before you can get your order. Plus it says they open at 11:30am but it is 11:50am and it is still closed. Not reliable.

My husband got us these & I never had something so tasty. I normally do not eat stuff like this because I have kid taste buds but this is so good. My hubby got the chicken & I got steak. Look how amazing their food is. Staff is very friendly! They are located right at the corner of 28th St & Madison Ave. Across the street from BP gas station & next door to McDonalds.

I love this place! Great locally owned restaurant. Very, very clean! My husband had the teppanyaki Fillet and I had the scallops! Both of our meals were fresh and hot! Nice portions.

It was okay, but I know a handful of Chinese restaurants that will do better at half the price. This popped up recently so I thought I’d give it a try. The staff was very friendly, the food was good, the portion size was good. I shared it with my 8 yr old daughter and 2 year old daughter. They enjoyed the noodles. The soup was a let down, it tasted watered down, and was definitely an afterthought. If everything else was spot on I’d let it pass, but soup is so easy, and could really have knocked it out of the park. I got the tuna, which was okay. I’ll give it another shot, get some steak and maybe a few other sides next time, but I’ll wait for a coupon on a special.

So sad, they are no longer carrying vegan options. It was fabulous while they had it. Disregard this review.

The Teppanyaki Tofu meal can be made vegan (we added a note to request vegan when ordering online). It’s a huge portion. I got two meals out of one portion, for less than $12. It also comes with a side salad with great vegan dressing.
