In Charlotte today for an appointment,
afterwards decided to try something new.
This time, Middle Eastern food.
*Hummus
*Chicken Shawarma
*Tabouli
I had a restaurant that was closer to
Mooresville that I loved, but one day it
just closed up & was gone.
I have been chasing that food ever since.
The Owner at the counter was a lovely man ( in my haste, I forgot to ask his name ).
he wanted to make sure I shared the %
health inspection.
He said he worked really hard & was proud of it!
Was great food & he really made us feel welcome.
On the way out he gave me
*Spinich pies
*something I didn’t catch the name of and
*Baklava
If you are ever in Charlotte and want a Warm, Friendly, Make you feel at Home spot. Where the portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh & the food is delicious, you don’t have to Look any further than this! My only regret is that I couldn’t partake of the buffet that was going to be served tonight.

Visited this place recently and had a really warm welcome, starting right from the tea they served when we sat down. They have a huge menu with plenty of options, and everything we tried tasted great. It’s primarily a restaurant, but you can also buy packed food items which is a nice bonus.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food here. They served generous portions of babaganoush and hummus — both were delicious. They also gave us complimentary lentil soup, and it was surprisingly good.
For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, which was juicy, tender, and absolutely amazing. The adana kabab was top notch with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma and chicken kabab could have been a bit more tender, but still enjoyable overall.
They also have a large selection of desserts on the menu, so definitely save some room if you can.
Overall, we had a great experience at La Shish Kabob — warm hospitality, big portions, and flavorful food. Would definitely go back!

Such a great find, it was our first time and the owner was so nice and brought us complimentary appetizers and gave us advice on the best meals. The portions were huge and the food was cooked perfectly. A hole in the wall place that I would love to see have more business. I will definitely be a new regular here.

We ordered three items. The lamb shank was flavorful and enjoyable, while the half chicken didn’t quite meet expectations. The hummus was decent, but the pita bread was too dry and didn’t seem freshly baked. On a positive note, the rice was very good.

This was one of my first time trying Mediterranean food. It’s been my favorite since. Food portions are huge, the rice is so good and the chicken and lamb are cooked to perfection. The drinks are also very good and they don’t take long to bring you the food, wait time is minimal. The lentil soup is one of my favorites, taste is perfection.
