There’s not a lot of good cocktail bars in this neighborhood but Raizes is a bright spot. The cocktails are delicious and affordable with great value food. I really enjoyed the Diablo cocktail and the tacos are delicious and a good portion sized for the price. Highly recommend a stop in!!?

The tacos and guac are delicious. Loved the taco selection with unique pairings. The drunk menu is robust and my jalapeno marg was beyond amazing.
The setting is a bit too dark for my liking so hopefully they lighten it up a bit.

We finally popped in after passing by a few times, and we’re definitely glad we did! Drinks are great – the classic margarita is spot-on. The tacos are elevated too, definitely better than your standard northside taqueria. Luis is awesome and makes sure the vibes are right when you’re at his bar.

Such good tacos!! Came here for Taco Tuesday and they are only $4 a piece. The Al Pastor tacos are a standout, with tons of meat and pineapple chunks. My friend got the crispy shrimp taco and loved it. Got a tasty house margarita for only $8 since it was also Happy Hour. Couldn’t ask for a better deal! The vibes are more like a bar, but the food is delicious. I’d also recommend the house guacamole!

My wife and I, and my daughter stopped in today for a quiet conversation and a snack of our Mexican culture. We didn’t have much time to spend together, so I googled a place near her apartment, so I chose this place, of course I looked at their menu. Prices looked reasonable, so we went there. My immediate shock came when I looked at the menu !!!
All of the tacos were priced at $5 or more, my complaint is the menu on the website listed tacos for $3.49
Ok ! We were already seated, so I decided to stay, the other surprise was the tacos were like mini tacos, tiny. Ok !
They had music playing, that was a little loud for our conversation, so I asked the server if he would mind turning the music down a little, being that we were the only customers in there. He didn’t do it , so the quiet conversation I wanted with my daughter did not happen.
I realize prices have gone up, but I feel we were scammed because the prices on the website were reasonable, to get you in the door, once you sit down to order, you end up paying almost twice as much. We could have gone to another place and spent only $50-$60 instead of $118 for 6 tacos and 6 drinks.
This happened to me twice before, at other locations, I asked the server why the prices don’t match what is on the website, the answer the answer is “Oh, we haven’t updated our website ” what a scam !!!
Don’t go to this place, the tacos were horrible too !

Awesome and unique atmosphere. Chips and salsa were high quality. Loved the fish and shrimp tacos, and the cocktails were lovely. The owners are personable, down to earth, and dedicated.

Owner Louie is great. Makes you feel like you’re having a drink at a friends house. Excellent food and cocktails. A few options have dry ice which is super cool, no pun intended. Love cold cocktails. My wife and I have been here many times. Excellent spot.

Good selection buritos or bowl or tacos including vegetarian options such as mushrooms, cactus, sweet potato and unique hot salsa, great margaritas with option to go. Staff very friendly, waiting time for food was short. Interesting interior and looks very clean. Overall good spot for qwick bite and inexpensive.
