While my parents were visiting Ketchikan, they enjoyed this diner at The Landing Hotel so much that it became their regular morning spot. On days I was at work, they’d head there on their own for breakfast or an early lunch and they consistently spoke very highly of it.
They especially loved their regular waitress, but honestly every server I encountered was great. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and had a fantastic sense of humor, which made the experience even better. Nothing ruins a meal faster than a crabby waitress, and that was definitely not the case here. These ladies were genuinely pleasant and made you feel welcome.
A solid, reliable spot with great service. I highly recommended.

Overall alright. We come here every year to fish and always stop here while waiting for our lodge to be ready. The food always takes forever to come out and is hit or miss on taste. This year the service was better than most years, but still just good.

Excellent breakfast place. Our server was awesome (wish I could remember her name); super welcoming and friendly, made us feel like family. I had the steak and eggs; great hearty meal before a day out on the water. Hot chocolate was solid as well.

I’ve always enjoyed breakfast at The Landing. The menu is good, service was good and the food was also good — until this week when food was cold and hard, service not very good….. Hopefully, it was just an off day and things are better other days. Neither recommended nor not recommended. It’s worth the risk.

I ate here for breakfast. The food was good and fast and the price was reasonable. It feels like old school americana. It’s hard to go wrong with eggs and bacon. They also sell fresh pie that is made on site.
I would have liked to have eaten here at least one more time.

Service was okay, disorganized but not the servers fault. Seemed short staffed, but still took extremely long to get acknowledgment we were there. Steak and eggs breakfast was terrible. Order med rare, and the steak—while still medium rare was so tough I could barely cut it with a knife. I had three bites and one I nearly choked on from how tough it was it, definitely not a sirloin cut (based on the the texture and clear connective tissue in the cut I’d have to say it’s a chuck steak, if not maybe even round roast thick sliced to be passed off as steak— either way it was inedible)
Staff took order, cashed out table 3/5 for efficiency but never once asked how the food was or refill waters despite siting at the diner bar.
Hashbrowns were good.

I rarely post bad reviews and refuse to leave a 1-star review for a local business, but this was pretty disappointing. I came in to place a quick takeout order before work and stood at the register for over 15 minutes while three servers behind the bar next to me looked at me repeatedly but never acknowledged me, nor the man behind me who had been waiting for 5 minutes.
I get that it was busy, but seeing people who walked in after me, for the exact same thing, get greeted immediately was unacceptable. I left without ordering and lost the little time I had to grab food 🙁

The Landing Diner was a great experience overall! The staff were so friendly and you can tell they are loved by the community. The food was delicious and very filling. Highly recommend if you’re in Ketchikan!

We were quoted a 40$ a night price and charged full upon check in. Since they have changed ownership it has went down hill.

Decent diner food and had Marita as our server—she was very busy but got our food out quick and was so sweet! Love her energy.
